Do you respect the power users here?

So, I’m curious—do you guys actually give more weight to the veterans here? You know, the ones with a thousand posts or more under their belt? Do you generally assume they’re sharper than the newcomers or those just passing through, or do you truly value that deep-seated forum experience and whatever wisdom they might have picked up along the way?

There isn't any actual experience or wisdom behind it. It’s just time sunk into my favorite subforums. As the years crawl by, the post count climbs. If you follow the rules and manage to avoid a permanent ban for a while, you'll end up with a high number too.

The onus is on every single one of us to decide whether we’re going to get sharper or just descend into total idiocy, though I suppose they say even the smartest guy in the room can pick up a thing or two from the biggest fool around.

Personally, I just look for a solid argument and an authentic take. To me, quality matters; I don't really give a damn about how many posts someone has under their belt...

If we're being technically accurate—and I mean truly precise here—scouring through PDFs from the SEC, the IRS, or various federal agencies doesn't actually grant intelligence; if anything, one loses it—quite significantly, in fact.

Any thread that fails to provide actual, constructive assistance to people—including this very one—is inherently pointless. In fact, I feel quite foolish even bothering to write this now. 😁

Seriously, go find something more productive to do with your life than starting threads like this. ☕

Why would it be bitter?
Honestly, you just grow with every post—you actually get wiser.
It’s pretty simple, really—just try hitting 1,000 posts under a single username and I guarantee you'll start feeling a bit more enlightened.

Once you cross that 10,000 mark, though... that’s when the decline starts. 😬
