I don't think just saying "it sounds like a distorted nickname, so let the mod decide" is enough—we really need to look at the context behind *why* someone’s twisting a name. I mean, can we all agree that every debate has its own vibe? Using a nickname like "slafica" hits differently when you're just messing around in a random chatroom versus using it in a serious thread where the other person clearly has zero actual arguments left and is just resorting to mockery, right?

The first instance is totally harmless and meant well, whereas the second one is blatant trolling and ad hominem insults. That kind of thing shouldn't be left up to some vague "moderator discretion."

Thanks.

P.S. Since you're working on cleaning up the mod/admin group, let me make it easier for you to pass the word along to "management":

Come on, get that sorted already. It shouldn't be that hard!

Look, you might not love the answer, but that’s just the reality of how things work here. If someone is intentionally butchering your username, just report it like everyone else is supposed to do. If you feel like nobody is actually listening to your reports, then come over here s link —though, to be honest, I don't see a link in your previous post. I’d also suggest taking a quick look at the rules in the PDF if you think there's a violation occurring, because some sections have much looser guidelines than others, which means even something like a silly nickname might not actually be against the rules. You mentioned the main moderator group—just so you know, they don't typically hand out formal warnings for stuff like this. And please, let's try to avoid starting new threads that don't follow the guidelines just because you're hoping for a different outcome.
