Quick heads up... sorry if I'm double-posting here, I tried searching but couldn't find anything quite like this...
Basically, I've got three screens (well, two monitors and a TV) that I'm trying to hook up to my GPU to create a triple-monitor setup...
The card I'm running is SLJEDECA and I was wondering if anyone could walk me through how to get all three working together? Every time I try, I run into a snag where the third screen—which happens to have a different resolution than the other two—just gives me a "no signal" error. My GPU definitely supports three displays, but that last one just won't cooperate...
Here's what I'm working with:
-HP Syncmaster T220 22" monitor
-monitor S24B350HL 24" IPS
-Samsung UE32H6410 3D 32" Smart TV 😁
Right now, they're hooked up like this:
The monitor T220 D-SUB is connected via a DVI-to-D-SUB adapter from the GPU
The monitor S24B350HL is connected via HDMI to both the monitor and the GPU
The TV UE32H6410 is connected via HDMI on the TV to the DVI port on the GPU...

Does anyone know a fix for this? I'd really appreciate any help... thanks!

If you're trying to run three or more monitors at once, you really have to stick with DisplayPort—just grab an adapter that converts DisplayPort to HDMI and plug that straight into your TV.

True, but I’m not sure how much you really know about this stuff... from what I understand, it should be able to handle two DVI connections and an HDMI without breaking a sweat... right?? I mean, why would it work on a DisplayPort but struggle with those other ones?

So, I switched things up and plugged the HDMI straight into the GPU, but the DisplayPort is still being stubborn and won't work... 🙂

Because that's just how AMD's engineers decided to roll with it. So, what did you plug the TV into? And give me a little more detail on what's actually going wrong—saying "it doesn't work" isn't exactly helpful information.

So, this is basically what I'm looking at

The T220 D-SUB monitor is hooked up via a DVI adapter on the graphics card
Then there's the monitor S24B350HL running through an HDMI connection
And finally, the Samsung UE32H6410 3 D TV is connected from the HDMI port straight to the DisplayPort on my card...🙂

Look, if you’re trying to run an extended display setup, you really need to make sure both monitors are set to the same resolution—otherwise, things get messy fast. By the way, does the TV actually show a picture when you plug it in by itself?

Honestly, what you just said doesn't make any sense at all...
I used to run an extended setup with my T220 and my monitor S24B350HL, and they definitely didn't have the same resolution. Now I'm trying to hook up a TV to the mix, and I'm getting absolutely nothing on the screen.

Then you’ve definitely got a problem with that DisplayPort-to-HDMI adapter.

Eh, nothing much... you might as well just lock this thread because none of this is actually helping... thanks anyway!

Look, try hooking up your standalone TV using that DP-to-HDMI adapter—if you're still getting a black screen, then the adapter is definitely the culprit. Most Radeon R9 series cards don't necessarily require an active adapter (though it really depends on which specific model or manufacturer you've got under the hood), but those older card models? They usually refuse to play nice with passive adapters. So, what kind of adapter are we actually dealing with here?
