I truly appreciate all the effort you have put into helping me out. 🙂

I have one more question, though it might sound a bit silly.

How can I be certain that using this Hiren bootable tool won't end up infecting my system with a virus?

🙂 Honestly, fair question.

There's never a 100% guarantee. Usually, these sites are legit, but there's always that tiny chance a file gets compromised during the download itself. Using HTTPS helps—that 's' is super important—but at the end of the day, it really comes down to knowing what you're doing.

I mean, how are you even going to pick up a virus if you can't even get into the computer itself? 🤣

Hiren actually runs on its own little operating system when it boots up, so there isn't really any interaction with your main OS at all. You basically just run the specific tools you need through that virtual environment. I'd suggest just grabbing the official version directly from their site.

If you're feeling a bit extra cautious, you could always verify the MD5 hash once the download finishes.

Your Microsoft Account password is a separate matter altogether.
And then there’s your Outlook email address, which is yet another thing.

So, here's the situation: I attempted to log in using that second method.
Specifically, the password for my Microsoft Account.
The system tells me they’ll send a recovery code so I can set a new PIN.
The code arrives via SMS without any issues.
But when I actually enter it on the login screen, it refuses to work.
Instead, it just throws an error saying "something went wrong."
And just like that, I've been stuck in this endless loop for days.

All I see on my desktop is a handful of icons: Sleep, Restart, and the Wi-Fi icon.
That's it. Nothing else.
....

I'd guess you might be trying to enter that recovery code in the wrong spot—maybe it’s meant for a website to reset your PIN/password rather than directly on the login screen?

Just guessing, though. I've never run into this myself since I always stick to local accounts instead of using a Microsoft account...
