The system somehow managed to glitch and wipe out my entire post from the thread about Ukraine.
Only a tiny little fragment survived, tucked away inside Andrew's reply to that same topic:

This thread is absolutely crawling with off-topic chatter, yet my post is actually quite relevant and vital, as it highlights the blatant hypocrisy of the USA when it comes to recognizing certain elections while dismissing others using the exact same set of standards.
Furthermore, I went through the trouble of translating the key sections for anyone who isn't fluent in English, and I'd hate to see all that effort go down the drain.
At first, I thought one of the moderators had manually deleted it, but since I haven't received any notifications about an infraction, I've moved past that theory.
Besides, the mods over in politics are pretty sharp, and I highly doubt they're immune to irony.
Could you please take a look and restore my post?

I’m going to say a few words regarding Syria, so please forgive me for drifting off-topic here.
During an unannounced trip to Beirut, John Kerry called upon all supporters of the Assad regime—specifically Iran, Russia, and Hezbollah—to step up and help bring the war in Syria to an end.
He also took aim at the Syrian election, essentially calling Tuesday's proceedings "one big zero" and claiming they "remain insignificant."
Regarding the recent "elections," Kerry remarked that they were "non-elections, elections are just one big zero."
He argued that the voting was "insignificant, because you cannot have elections where millions of your people don't even have the opportunity to vote."
