I’ve been dealing with this really difficult situation lately where everything feels just too tight down there, and honestly, whenever I try to be intimate, the pain starts almost immediately... it's so intense that I can't even get past the very beginning, not even a tiny bit, and I haven't even had sex before... I went to see my gynecologist about it, and she basically told me that I fall into that category of people who are just extremely narrow, and she suggested that I might actually need surgery to, well, essentially stretch things out so it doesn't hurt so much... she mentioned that even if someone were to help me through that first time, it probably wouldn't change anything because it would likely still hurt every single time, and she even said that women in my position often have a hard time having babies naturally and might need a C-section later on... I’m just feeling a bit overwhelmed and wanted to hear what everyone else thinks, or if anyone else has gone through something similar... I'm wondering what I should do to try and get through that first experience so I can see if maybe it gets easier next time, because I'd really rather avoid surgery if possible, especially since the cost for a procedure like that is $667 which is just so much money to deal with right now... so please, if you have any advice or stories, I'd love to hear them, thank you 🙂

So if the doctor says you need surgery, what’s the actual damage $667? My doctor mentioned the exact same thing she told you, but she totally dodged the question on the cost or any potential issues with having kids later down the road 😕

Look, my girlfriend and I are dealing with something that might be related to this issue. We’ve been intimate, but even after ten attempts, she’s still experiencing significant pain. There was some bleeding during our first time—nothing excessive, but noticeable—and since then, she’s occasionally dealt with spotting after sex, usually appearing when she goes to the restroom later. We’ve been scouring the internet trying to make sense of it all; we both feel like there isn't an issue with my performance, yet it doesn't seem like there's anything inherently "wrong" with her either. Can anyone offer some insight? How does one actually determine if someone has a "tight vagina"? 😕
p.s. She’s a bit hesitant about scheduling an appointment with a gynecologist 😵

Let them go see a gynecologist regardless. ☕

Look, I’ve always said that if you think you're ready for the sex part, you better be just as ready to head to the OB-GYN. If you can't handle the checkup, then you aren't actually ready for the first thing. ☕

Hey everyone,

I’ve never really struggled with relationships before—was with one partner for four years, and I’ve been with my current guy for about a year now. At the start of this, we both tested positive for ureaplasma, so we’ve gone through two rounds of treatment. Now, I’m just sitting here waiting on the results from a follow-up swab. Something weird has come up, though. Both he and I have this sensation... like things have somehow stretched out down there. I feel like I can't feel much of anything anymore, and honestly, I don't think he can either. As far as I know, that shouldn't even be possible, right? Or am I just overthinking it? On top of that, I’ve noticed I’m constantly wet, but not in the usual way—it’s more like a slimy discharge. And then there's this other thing: during sex, I started feeling air actually getting pushed inside, which has never happened to me once in my life. So, I guess I'm asking you all—could this just be some lingering consequence of the infection, or is it something else? 🤷

At the start, we were both diagnosed with ureaplasma, and we've both gone through two rounds of treatment already (just waiting on some follow-up test results now). One thing we've both noticed—and I'm wondering if this is even possible—is this sensation like things have just... opened up down there? Like, I don't feel much sensation anymore, and he feels the same way. Also, I've noticed I'm constantly wet, but not in the usual way—it's more like a slimy feeling. To top it off, during sex, it feels like air is actually getting pushed inside, which has never happened to me in my life. So, I'm asking you guys—could this be a side effect of the inflammation or what? 🤷

Natural lubrication plays a huge role in how tight or loose things feel. More moisture usually means less friction or "resistance." You've probably felt it before—after a long session, it might feel tighter simply because there's less lube, making there be more resistance. In any case, you absolutely have to clear that ureaplasma. Both you and your partner need to finish the full course of antibiotics. If only one person treats it, you'll just keep passing it back and forth like a game of ping-pong. And don't brush it off; ureaplasma isn't nothing. It can potentially lead to blocked fallopian tubes if left alone.
