Green tint on screen during startup

Every single time I boot up my PC, which is hooked up via HDMI to my full HD Apple plasma, I run into the exact same headache: the screen comes up with this sickly greenish tint. The only way I can fix it is by physically unplugging the HDMI cable from my graphics card and plugging it right back in. It’s incredibly frustrating. I’ve already tried swapping out the HDMI cable entirely, but that didn't do a thing. Does anyone have any actual ideas about what could be causing this?
The cable is plugged into the HDMI1 port on the plasma, which is specifically designated for PC use.

Maybe try a different port or some other connection method besides HDMI.
In those situations, people usually end up fixing similar HDMI headaches just by running a quick update on their TV's firmware.
