It’s got those nice little moments and that signature dark humor, but the way people act doesn't really capture the 60s vibe they were going for.

Funny at times, and the music hits the spot. It's a good movie, but nothing more than that...

Pretty much. I love the Coen brothers, but this one felt pretty uncharacteristic for them. Maybe we've just been spoiled by their hits over the years...

Inside Llewyn Davis.

Pure > level filmmaking.

To be honest, I hated this movie while I was actually sitting through it. It felt like a chore to watch, yet I couldn't look away.
I sat through the whole thing from start to finish.
And that ending? I absolutely loathed it..

But now, after letting everything settle and processing it all, the film carries a lot of weight for me. It left a real mark.
It’s a cult classic. Though, I can't quite put my finger on why..
It's strange how I can still vividly remember a film that I despised so much during the actual viewing..

In my opinion, the best film by the Coen brothers is definitely Isaac. The score, the atmosphere—everything about it is just top-tier.
Especially that scene where he sings "The Death of queen Jane".

It’s a decent enough movie, but honestly? Claiming it beats >, >, >, or > feels borderline sacrilegious. Just kidding—unless someone actually thinks so, then fine. For me, it’s just okay. The brothers usually hit the mark, though > was a total snooze fest for me; it had a few bright spots, but I’m never sitting through it again. > is cool, but does it really reach true >? Not quite.

I think it’s a solid film.
Once you realize who this character is, you don't really expect much more from him. To me, the movie does a great job of capturing exactly what we should expect from Llewyn.
That said, I felt like it missed a chance to show what actually drives him. Since the story covers such a narrow window of time, you’re basically just dropped into the middle of things, and you see what you see. I think adding a bit of dialogue to Llewyn's speech—maybe a brief flashback to his past—would have helped us understand what truly pushed him toward this life as a struggling folk musician.
