Pretty mediocre showing from our side today. The offense was sluggish and the defense is basically a sieve—we’re getting picked apart in isolation plays just like the French do... we need a massive turnaround in the second half, though I’m starting to wonder if Goluza actually prepped them for this. If this is how we look heading into the matchup against Denmark? Not feeling optimistic. They aren't going to hand us any freebies like Poland did, especially since Alilovica is the only thing keeping us within one possession.

Honestly, this national team reminds me of those mediocre American college squads where they just feed the ball to one guy all night long, and then he ends up scoring 70 out of their 74 points while the rest of them take 150 shots just to stay relevant.

I honestly don't see how we pull this one off. If it weren't for all those die-hard fanatics clogging everything up, we might actually be done by now.

I’m not trying to be difficult, but I’m honestly just exhausted by Americans who suddenly turn into armchair experts during major tournaments. They start picking fights with everyone, acting like they know everything—claiming Dule should have closed this out or Mirko should have made the save, or calling someone an idiot for a foul. I'm not talking about you specifically, though. 🙂

Domagoj Duvjak can be pretty stubborn at times, and he definitely has a tendency to force things when he shouldn't, but let’s be real: he is easily the best player on our national team.
It’s even more frustrating because his game would be on a completely different level if we had some reliable perimeter shooters to space the floor for him. Right now, he’s basically having to manufacture every single shot attempt all by himself.

You aren't wrong about that.

If we could just pull off three fast breaks against the Poles and grab a slim lead, say maybe two or three points, everything changes. Then you can actually run those transitions and finish possessions in ten seconds flat without looking over your shoulder every single time.
