Well, look, I guess there were a few plays where the ball moved pretty fast and we actually managed to score. There were also some turnovers where we could've run a fast break. It's just that on the flip side, we had those sloppy shots in offense, especially during the power play, plus the goalie situation isn't helping. I mean, overall, it's looking okay.

Yeah, sure, that’s true, but let’s not call this GREAT play. It’s just standard stuff. If we were actually playing elite ball and crossing those wings properly, we’d be up by 5 or 6 goals right now. Vori would be racking up 5 assists easily. Honestly, our offense looks decent only because Kopljar is busy pulling in 7 saves—how many total saves does he even have in this tournament so far?🤣

It’s not like this is some total disaster. You can rarely pull away from The Frenchman in the first 25 minutes anyway. This whole thing will be decided in the final 15, just like always. In this stretch of the game, one or two stupid mistakes like this and the game is over. Period.

We had two golden opportunities to pull ahead, and we blew both of them.
First, Domagoj Duvnjak lost control of the ball, and then he picked up a two-minute penalty that let the Frenchmen back into the game... all because of our own unforced errors.
Our defense just isn't holding up.
We aren't feeding the wings enough, either. By the end of the half, we were just settling for outside shots instead of moving the ball.
