So, I ran into a bit of a situation today. I was helping my mom in the kitchen grinding meat, things got a little messy, and I ended up catching my finger under some heavy pressure. My nail turned blue instantly, and I’ve got this nasty bruise forming on the other side too... plus, the screw on the machine actually split the skin. Since I can still move my finger, I don't think I need an ER visit, but man, it hurts like crazy whenever I touch it! Does anyone know a good way to dull the pain or get this bruise to clear up faster? I had something similar happen to a toenail once after a hit, and that bruise stuck around for months before finally fading away...
I would really appreciate any tips or advice you guys have! 🙂

I honestly don't get why you're acting like going to the doctor is such a huge chore when you've got a legit, nasty injury on your body... I mean, seriously, with how much pain you're in and the way that hit actually happened, there's really no other way to handle this. Like, what else would it take for you to just head down to the nearest ER to get some X-rays and see what's actually going on inside? Would your arm have to be shoved into a woodchipper before you finally decided to seek help? It's wild to me, truly.

Look, if you're heading to the local hospital for something like this, there’s really only one right move—you need to get that wound treated at the Emergency Room immediately!

Don't get me wrong, this is just how I roll... Back in 2012, I actually broke my leg and didn't even bother heading to the ER until ten hours later... Anyway, thanks so much for the info! 🙂
