Hey there!

I spend a massive amount of my time on video editing, and after spending several months digging through tutorials and workflows, I’ve finally realized that I need a specific trio of software—Adobe Lightroom, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere Pro—to get my work done. I’m looking at using them at least three times a week, so here’s my dilemma: how on earth am I supposed to acquire these? I was browsing through Google News and checking out some retailers, but it seems like they only have Adobe Premiere Pro available $2000?!? Does that mean I’m going to have to cough up a small fortune $5000 just to get the legitimate versions?.. I’ll be honest, I used to rely on pirated software, but I moved away from that pretty quickly—partly because it’s illegal, but mostly because those cracks usually stop working after like 30 days... So, I am asking you all nicely to please help me out here. I genuinely need these programs; there isn't really a viable alternative that does what I need, and let's be real, $5000 I'm not about to drop a paycheck for something that feels like a rip-off!...

Thanks in advance!

Just running the trial inside a virtual machine and boom—problem solved.

Haha, as if that would even work! I can't even get through the installation phase—every single time I attempt to install the trial versions (and for some reason, Adobe lets me grab Photoshop and Lightroom just fine, but won't let me touch the trials for After Effects or Premiere), I get hit with a barrage of different DLL errors upon launch. I've tried troubleshooting those specific DLL files using every trick in the book, but nothing sticks. At this point, I’m starting to think my only real option is sticking to the genuine, original software versions.🙂

It’s all fun and games until you actually need it 😁

There really isn't a shortcut. If you honestly need the software for your livelihood, just buy it. Sit down and figure out exactly how many gigs you need to pick up to cover the cost of the subscription...

If you’re using these programs for actual work—like, if clients are paying you for projects made in them—you really ought to get the legitimate versions. There are student bundles out there too, like the full Master Collection for around $150... check Amazon, for sure it'll be cheaper than buying direct here in the States.

But if it's just for fun or personal stuff, a cracked version would probably do the trick... since they're already hacked, they basically last forever.😁

I spend quite a bit of my time on video editing—after several months of digging around, I’ve finally realized that I really need three specific programs (Adobe Lightroom, Adobe After Effects, and Adobe Premiere Pro) which I’d likely be using at least three times a week... so now comes the question of how and where to actually get them. I was looking through Google News and stores, but they only seem to carry Adobe Premiere Pro $2000?!? Does that mean I’ll have to cough up $5000 just to get the legitimate versions?.. I’ll admit, I used to rely on pirated software, but I moved away from that pretty quickly—partly because it’s illegal, and partly because those versions only last about thirty days before breaking... anyway, I am politely asking for some guidance here, because I truly need these tools and I can't just swap them out for something else... and frankly, I'm not about to drop $5000 for three CDs!...

Thanks in advance!

If you're working from home, then go ahead and use the pirated stuff—don't sweat it... screw those thieves.
Lately, the massive corporations that control these major software suites have become such blatant thieves it's almost unbelievable. They roll out these new versions every single year at absurd prices—when most of the changes are purely cosmetic—along with all this nonsense regarding extra fees for "maintenance," "support," "subscriptions," and every other marketing gimmick designed to squeeze more cash out of you.
Not to mention how these vultures are slowly transitioning everyone to annual licenses... essentially forcing you to pay every year since standalone licenses are becoming a thing of the past.
My own company got talked into a network license that charges by the hour of application usage—meaning you have to stay constantly connected to the internet while a server tracks exactly how long the software stays open. I won't even go into how much of a headache it was to justify the supposed "savings"... In the end, we ended up paying more than before because their little "sales pitch" didn't account for the fact that people actually work overtime.
Personally, I have zero patience for being sold a bill of goods when they try to shove a "new" version of an app down your throat just because they rearranged the icons and changed the colors.
