In the European Union, concert tickets are like 50 percent cheaper!
And I guess Cohen's show counts too! There's a deal running from July 1st to the 7th. So if you're thinking about grabbing a ticket, maybe just do it now.

I actually went ahead and grabbed tickets for Roger Waters yesterday 🙂

It’s such an incredible opportunity, though I’m honestly a little bummed I missed out on those VIP floor seats. I just couldn't pull the trigger on the tickets earlier because I wasn't 100% sure my schedule would clear up. :/
Looks like I'll just have to settle for being somewhere on the side of the floor 😢

I'm a huge fan of Cohen, but I'm pretty gutted I missed him when he played in Washington, D.C. (it was just one of those terrible times to be in the capital if you're coming from the coast 🙂). Anyway, I'm looking at what's left for the upcoming shows in San Francisco:

Do you think this spot is too far from the stage? Also, any idea how the acoustics usually are in an arena like this?

I'm honestly not sure if this is the right place to ask, but I figured I'd just throw it out here: am I actually allowed to bring a camera to the concert?

Does anyone know if there’s an official afterparty scheduled once the concert wraps up? 😁
Or perhaps some other spot—a lounge or a pub, maybe—where people might gather to grab a drink and hang out all night long?

It is simply unacceptable that there aren't any tickets left 🤔

It’s sold out, but I’m positive you can still track down some tickets somewhere; someone is bound to be reselling.
I'm also curious about the camera situation... the map says they're prohibited, obviously, but it said the exact same thing at the Depeche Mode show, yet everyone around me was filming with their cameras. 🤷All I ended up with were two terrible shots on my iPhone. 🙄

Hey everyone!

I’m not gonna ramble about the concert this time (I already wrote a whole thing about that show back in Washington, D.C. a few years ago); I actually have a question instead...

The lady and I would love to chip in for half the gas and maybe a little extra on top if anyone wants to pick us up—just some friends or whatever—for a ride out to San Francisco and back after the show (so, just a day trip).

Gotta be eco-friendly, right? One less car on the road... plus, we all save a bit of cash...

We're in our early thirties, so we're easygoing enough to hang out with the younger crowd or the older folks too, no real limits there. We both work in education. If there's a chance to make this happen, we can chat sooner or meet up beforehand, just to make sure everything goes smoothly and avoid any awkwardness...

So if anyone's interested, hit me up here or just shoot me a private message, please.

Man, I'm still totally buzzing from that Crazy Horse show in Rome... definitely gotta start mentally prepping for that other Canadian guy...

It should be great at Madison Square Garden... really great...

You gave him five days off after Vienna... then about ten days before the next show... after San Francisco, he heads north... through Scandinavia...

I'm expecting—hoping—that the atmosphere carries him... and that he gives it everything he's got.

Last year in Verona, he played about 30 songs...

Yeah, everyone always seems to have a camera on them, but honestly, I still can't decide if I should bother bringing mine or not. 🤷 The issue is that mine isn't some tiny little compact; it's a full DSLR, so it's definitely not subtle enough to sneak past security without being noticed. 😁

A DSLR might only get you in through sheer luck—I’ve personally witnessed people being turned away at the entrance more than a few times. A friend of mine from the Upper East Side actually had to head all the way back to his car because of a G 11 restriction.

The setlist looks fantastic... I noticed they’ve been playing Chelsea Hotel lately—I caught them in Budapest and Washington, D.C., but they skipped that one song I love so much. Third time's a charm, I suppose.
I’m almost tempted—much like at that Springsteen concert—to hold up a sign.🤣I have second-row VIP tickets, so he wouldn't be able to ignore me if I tried!😂

But whatever, I guess I'll just end up with a handful of mediocre photos on my iPhone. 😁 It doesn't really matter, though; I'm certain that Mr. Cohen is going to leave a permanent mark on my soul.

Any little camera can pull off decent shots—I actually filmed Springsteen in Kilkenny using nothing but a small Canon SX230i, and even from about 70 yards away, they turned out perfectly fine. I used my iPhone for part of it just to get something quick onto Facebook, and they looked great.
You could try uploading a photo, though you should probably be prepared to just save it to your car instead.

The last resort is to just shoot me a private message after the show, and we can swap photos—we’ll be close enough to him that I'm sure they'll be excellent. We already have a decent collection from our trips to Budapest and Washington, D.C.🙂

And thanks! I think I’m going to try shooting some shots with my sister's camera—she’s got one of those old Canons, so we'll see how much quality I can actually squeeze out of it. 😁

People, I could really use some assistance here! 🙂 We are planning to head out for a concert, but we have unfortunately run into a bit of a snag because we haven't been able to secure any lodging for two people quite yet 😢

Around 9 yesterday, I was walking near the stadium when I stumbled upon a soundcheck by Leonard Cohen.

It was quite something; there were maybe twenty of us clapping and cheering, and he gave us a few bows, tipping his hat with such effortless grace.
