So, about three days ago, I decided to use an epilator on my chest, and honestly, everything is just so inflamed right now. My skin is covered in these red spots that won't go away, and some of them actually look almost like finger marks or bruises. I was wondering if anyone knows what I should apply to calm down this reaction and get rid of the redness? Thanks!🙂

Honestly, your best bet is to head over to your doctor tomorrow. They can take a quick look and tell you exactly what kind of topical stuff you need and how long to use it—whether it's something like Bacitracin, a triple antibiotic cream like Polysporin, or maybe just a basic honey-based ointment for skin irritation or something else entirely.

Next time you decide to tackle this, try disinfecting the area first. Then, immediately after you're done, hit it with a gentle aftershave balm or a soothing gel (do that two or three times in a row) to help prevent this whole mess from happening again.

Or, you know, just stop epilating altogether...

First aid while you're waiting to see the doctor—reach for Kamagel, Floceta, or some Bepanthen cream.

Ahhh, easy for you to say... 😛

Every time I wax, my legs end up covered in these tiny red bumps. My skin feels super sensitive, almost like I just scalded myself with hot water. Usually, it clears up after a day. I'm not sure if that's a normal reaction, but I figure since you're ripping hair out by the root, you're basically creating thousands of tiny little micro-wounds.

I don't bother applying creams or treatments afterward because I feel like adding more stuff to my skin actually makes it worse. Honestly, a quick rinse with cold water is all I need. 😁

My skin is super sensitive too, and I get the exact same reaction after getting waxed... if I try to slather on any kind of cream, it just stings more and feels all tight. So, yeah, I also just stick to a quick rinse
with cold water, stay out of the sun, and just wait a day or two for it to settle down. 😁🙂
