Missing HDD

When I tried launching BitTorrent, everything just turned red and threw an error 🤔. I checked This PC and realized one of my hard drives—my main storage drive—is completely missing from the list. Luckily, Windows 10 is running fine on my other drive

I actually opened up the case to check, and wouldn't you know it, the drive is right there. Everything looks plugged in perfectly, but even after a full reset, it’s like it doesn't even exist

Does this mean it's officially dead, or is there some way to save it? I've got a ton of important documents sitting on there that I really need

It's an Apple drive, 500GB, and it's a few years old now

Maybe try popping into Disk Management first—just to see if the system actually recognizes the drive at all. Basically, you want to check if the hardware shows up on that list...

Checked it out—nothing there. Tried swapping the cables too, but nope, that wasn't the issue either.

Next step is probably checking if it even shows up in the BIOS

And if you can't find it in the BIOS? Well, then your hard drive is pretty much a goner—dead as a doornail. I really hope you didn't have any critical documents or anything super important stored on there...

Man, if it’s not showing up in Disk Management, then it isn't even hitting the BIOS. You might want to double-check those connections really thoroughly... honestly, this is exactly why you should always have a solid backup of your important files ready to go.
