Deep Brain Stimulation: What's your experience?

Hi everyone, I’m new here. I haven't been able to track down a thread specifically about Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS), so I'm hoping someone can help me out. If anyone here has had DBS implanted for Parkinson's, or knows someone who has, could you please share your experience? Specifically, what was life like before the procedure versus how it has been since? Did it actually improve the overall quality of life, and how does the whole thing work in practice? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.🤷😕

Hey... I'm also looking to chat with someone who actually has built-up DMS from seeing Houdini. I've been dealing with this for 15 years now. Likely Parkinson with all this pain in my spine and thighs... would appreciate any info you guys have... thx 👍
