Dealing with intercostal neuralgia? Any advice?

Anyone dealt with a pinched nerve between the ribs on the left side? Been dealing with intense pain for two months now. What kind of treatment did you try, or how did you manage the pain...

Once you’ve ruled out all those "nasty" underlying reasons for why things are hurting, and even when you go ahead with everything else that’s supposed to help, you're still left with this absolutely brutal pain that just seems to drag on forever.
I'm talking about the kind of stuff where you've cycled through Aspirin, Lyrica, even the Fentanyl Patch—it's not unusual at all—and we've even given Carbamazepine a shot, plus tried Neurontin too...
