Issues with my Dell Latitude printer

For no apparent reason, this printer outputs half a page perfectly fine, while the bottom half turns into complete gibberish—it’s like looking at hieroglyphics. And it isn't even consistent—sometimes it works, but most of the time, it's just wrong. It would be easier to troubleshoot if the entire font was garbled, but since it's only partial, I'm stumped...

The OS is Windows XP. This keeps happening regardless of whether I'm printing from Microsoft Word, a PDF, or even an online banking statement. Any ideas? 🤷

Maybe try installing some fresh drivers...☕

The latest drivers are already installed—I've checked twice. Do you think I should attempt a clean reinstall of the current ones, or perhaps roll back to an older version?

I'd say swap to a different version, just anything other than what you have now.
And maybe run a quick scan with some anti-malware just to be safe...☕

I will give that a shot. I truly appreciate the effort...

Maybe try pulling those ink cartridges out and popping them back in—just to see if they seat properly. Let me know how that test page looks after you do. Also, if you’ve got another USB cable lying around somewhere, give that a shot too.

Ugh.. I seriously can't believe anyone else is still rocking that printer. I've got the exact same one and, man... the toner alone is gonna set me back $96. Now I'm staring at my empty ink cartridges thinking, why not just grab a whole new machine? Most of them have scanning built-in anyway, they print way faster, and the colors look pretty decent for like $33 😁
