Sorry to be a bother, but I really need an answer to the question I asked above.

Here’s the deal: the moderator Ryan Vaughn7 won't let us talk about this weird political phenomenon where everyone is suddenly treating Patton like some kind of saint. It’s hilarious, really. Just last Friday, before the verdict came down, these same people were calling him a coward and a monster. Now? Suddenly, he’s a hero.

I honestly think discussing the prosecution of Patton and his team is a perfectly valid topic for the main Politics board. Yet, the moderator is trying to shove this conversation into some obscure sub-forum that used to be called "crazy typing."

In my book, nothing shows a politician or a journalist's true colors faster than how quickly they flip-flop when the wind changes direction. Shouldn't we be allowed to call them out on it? We should have the chance to deconstruct these "sudden transformations" right here, making these hypocrites visible to the American public. Isn't that basically the whole point of having a forum like this—to engage in that kind of social commentary?

So, if you don't mind, please grant this request. Let us discuss these political converts and flip-floppers on the main Politics board—whether it's within the threads about Patton and Markach 🤷 or by just allowing a dedicated thread for it on the main page.

P.S. If it isn't too much trouble, could you also restore my deleted post regarding Hodak's column? Thanks for that, too.
Thanks

Everyone is suddenly acting like Patton is some kind of legendary hero, which is pretty wild considering that just this past Friday—right before the verdict was read—people were calling him a coward and a monster. It’s strange how fast the narrative shifts. One minute he's the villain, the next he's a saint, and now we aren't even allowed to talk about it.

You’re lying... I can't find a better way to put it.

Yet, the moderator seems hell-bent on pushing the whole conversation over to that subforum—you know, the one that used to be called "crazy typing" ages ago.

It used to be called that. Now, it’s just a fully integrated part of the subforum. We aren't going to let your skewed perceptions turn our topic threads into some chaotic mess.

The topic we’re diving into isn't just "politically adjacent"—it is core politics. Period. Given its weight and how much it actually shapes political movements in this country, it belongs right here in the main politics subforum.

Look, whether it’s perfectly balanced or not, there’s a specific section meant for lighter topics—stuff that doesn't break the rules but doesn't really count as serious politics. That’s fine, but what we’re talking about isn't "light" material. It doesn't belong over there.

And am I just making things up here?

Is it true that you won't allow any discussion on this within the Patton and Markach threads?

You wrote that I don't allow discussion... period. No extra explanation. A casual reader might actually believe that's the truth. And that's just a flat-out lie.
Regarding the Patton and Markach topic, it has been under constant moderator supervision from the very beginning. I’ve dedicated all my free time to it since Friday, and other colleagues have been keeping a close watch whenever they could. Even Strile stepped in to help us out at one point. All in all, I'm quite pleased with how the thread looks—joyful and celebratory, yet dignified, much like the return of those two generals. A lot of effort went into this, and I won't let anyone come along and wreck the thread or make all that work go to waste. Everyone who considers themselves responsible for Patton's fate has their own separate threads in the political section, and there's even a master thread for domestic politics. I wouldn't even be against someone starting a "media coverage of Patton" thread or something similar. No one is stopping anyone from sharing their opinions there. So, you lied.

I'll also take this opportunity to publicly thank the soccer moderation crew for pulling through the whole weekend while I was away.

Ryan Vaughn7, let’s just bury the hatchet here. 🙂 I’m honestly too tired for another fight.

Look, you’re the moderator for this PDF, and I know you mean well for the community, but you also get what we all want here. So, why don't you suggest a way we can actually talk about the people responsible for a decade of persecution against a man who’s now basically a national hero?

Fine, you want to keep the thread celebratory and dignified. I respect that, and I’ll try to honor your intent because, honestly, I think you really mean it.

But here are my suggestions on how we handle this mess.

Let's see if we can find some middle ground. And hey, my bad for being a bit vague in my first post. 🙂

(Just one thing: please don't give me that line about this being an "equally important political sub-forum." You and I both know that’s just a convenient mantra for something else entirely.)

Thanks.

Let's look forward instead.

I've got to head out now, so I can't really pitch any specific ideas. Just start a new thread if none of the current ones hit the mark for you. Just try to make your opening post a bit more convincing than that link about Hodak.

I probably shouldn't be the one starting this thread. I’m a bit slow on the uptake and pretty limited, so I wouldn't do it justice. Someone more capable than me will step up and do a much better job.

The main thing is getting the green light.

Thanks, Ryan Vaughn7. I'm actually looking forward to seeing where this place goes with you running the show. 😍

Lock it if you want. 🙂

P.S. I reached out to my buddy Lucius C PM; I think he’s the best person to handle this properly.
