It really depends on what her cycles look like and when she’s actually ovulating, so yeah—it's definitely a possibility...

I know sex during your period is just as "safe" as any other time, but everyone keeps saying it depends on where a woman is in her cycle. So, if I’m on the pill, my fertile window shouldn't really overlap with my period anyway, right? Or should I still be using extra protection while I'm bleeding? That’s the part I can't wrap my head around—I haven't been able to find any info online specifically about sex during your period, if you're taking the pill, being safe (or not) 🙂

When you are on oral contraceptives, your chances of pregnancy remain consistent throughout the entire month. The pill works by preventing ovulation; while it isn't 100% foolproof, your risk of getting pregnant during your period isn't any higher than it is during any other time of the month.

Well, thanks for the heads up. I've seriously never come across anyone mentioning if there’s actually a difference between those days and any other time. (And yeah, I get that nothing is 100% safe even on the pill, I just didn't realize it was just as "safe" while you're on your period 🎉)
