Hey,

I’m posting here because I have zero clue what's causing this. The only pattern I've found is that it hits right around the middle of my cycle. Today is day 18, and this started three days ago before peaking today.

The physical weakness is just brutal—especially in my limbs. It feels like there's absolutely no strength left in them. I can't lie down, I can't stand up... nothing works. For these few days, I'm basically useless. Everything goes black for a second if I squat or sit down and try to get back up. I feel nauseous from hunger, but then I feel nauseous if I actually eat. Honestly, I can barely function.

I've always had periods like this. I went to my doctor since I had low iron a long time ago, but they said my bloodwork is perfect—couldn't be better. Only my iron is borderline. I’ve tried some natural iron supplements; they help a little, but these bad days always happen regardless.

I saw my OB-GYN too, and apparently, there's no issue there either. I don't take birth control, and I don't take any meds except maybe one or two pills on the first day of my period.

I don't know if it's tied to my cycle, but it happens about once a month, so I'm lost.
I eat healthy, stay away from junk food, drink plenty of water, and I'm physically active. I just don't get why I've dealt with this nausea my whole life or why nobody can figure out what's wrong with me.

Both my doctor and my OB-GYN say everything is fine, maybe you're just more sensitive, and they have no idea how to treat it. To make matters worse, they don't even seem to grasp my symptoms when I explain them. I tell them my hands feel weak, like I can't grip things tightly enough, and they just ask if my hands are tingling or if I got injured, even though I'm telling them this has been going on for years.

Has anyone else gone through this? Is it related to my cycle or hormones? And is there any way to at least ease the pain during these days—tea, pills, anything? Because I seriously cannot function.😢

What’s your blood pressure looking like? And did you get your hormone levels checked while you were at the OB-GYN?

It feels like you’re describing my life exactly—it’s like I wrote this myself. I have these identical symptoms, and just like you, nobody can give me a straight answer about what's actually going on with me. At least now I know I’m not alone in this. For me, the misery kicks in right around the middle of my cycle. It’s this constant wave of nausea where I feel like I need to throw up, but nothing happens. Then there’s this strange weakness and these vague, nagging aches all over my body, especially in my legs. And honestly, even though I only weigh 115 pounds, I feel heavy as lead. 😉I have these intense cravings where I want to eat everything in sight, yet the thought of actually eating makes me nauseous. Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

It sounds like those symptoms you're having are pointing straight toward low blood pressure... maybe give some royal jelly capsules a shot, because honestly, that’s what saved me when I was dealing with similar issues during my monthly cycle.

I haven't had my hormones checked yet, and my blood pressure was fine the last time I took it. Of course, all those symptoms just vanished the day after I started this thread. I did some digging online, and I guess what I'm going through isn't exactly unheard of, but I can't find any actual solutions or ways to get relief anywhere. I suppose I'll head to my doctor to get my blood pressure checked, just to be safe at first.

Ugh, I feel you. I deal with nausea and stomach issues during my period and ovulation too.😢
I’m pretty sure my hormones are just totally out of whack. I haven't actually had the bloodwork done yet, but I guess I'll finally go get those tests checked out in the next few days.

I’m certain my hormones are out of whack. I haven't had the bloodwork done yet, but I'll be getting those tests scheduled within the next few days.

Same here. My immune system just tanks out of nowhere. It’s like clockwork. Doesn't matter what I eat, how much I work out—nothing stops the crash. All that effort feels pretty useless.
On Diane-35 now. Dealing with headaches because of it. Typical.

Mother's milk did quite a bit for me.
I have to go back to her. Again.

By the way. Ran all the hormone tests. Everything came back fine. OB-GYN results—all clear.

Reading your posts makes me feel a lot less alone. I honestly thought I was just making things up or being dramatic. I deal with the same stuff—total exhaustion, aching, and joint pain, on top of intense ovulation pains. My last one was so brutal I couldn't even walk or bend over for two days straight. The pain started in my lower abdomen and just radiated all the way up toward my chest. I’m at the point where I’ve actually started to dread my ovulation cycle. The last time was just unbearable.

On top of all that crap, I get hit with these random hot flashes. Haven't checked the thermometer, but I’m pretty sure my fever is low-key. When all these symptoms decide to gang up on me at once? Honestly, I just want to die. It’s freaking unbearable.

Reading that some people are actually doing fine with their hormones and everything else isn't exactly comforting.😢

I don't even know what's worse—wondering if something is actually wrong or if it's nothing at all—but knowing there's zero help out there.🙂

My hormone levels are fine, but I've already gone through three major abdominal surgeries.

It seems like we’re all dealing with more or less the same set of issues.
Personally, my blood pressure is constantly bottoming out, leaving me with this persistent sensation that I might just collapse at any given moment. On top of that, my iron levels have been hovering right on the edge of being clinically low, so I’ve finally started taking supplements to address it.
To make matters worse, I’m stuck with this nagging, low-grade fever—it always sits right between 99°F and 99.5°F—and it won't budge. It completely kills my appetite, yet I know I absolutely have to eat just to keep from feeling even more lightheaded. The pain isn't exactly catastrophic, but it's enough to keep me pinned to my bed, and honestly, even over-the-counter meds aren't doing much to help. I have an appointment with my OB-GYN coming up soon, so hopefully, I'll get some actual answers then.
I can't help but constantly wonder if any of this is actually normal...

I’m feeling the same struggle. It hit me hard this week—probably ovulation related. I’ve got hot flashes, fatigue, aching limbs, and nausea. I haven't had my hormone levels checked yet, but most of you mentioned yours were normal, right?

My blood pressure is low and my iron is low too. This really only started within the last year, likely due to stress.😢
