I am reaching out for some guidance... my mother is 76 years old and currently taking the following medications:

- Lexapro (antidepressant)
- Normabel
- Lybrel (blood pressure/heart)
- Ares - stomach issues
- Zaldiar
- Betaserc - for circulation

I cannot pinpoint the exact cause, but she has been shaking uncontrollably for days on end, and sleep seems impossible for her... I feel lost because her doctors are essentially dismissing her symptoms, simply chalking it up to "nerves" or some such nonsense. What should my next steps be?

There is likely a contraindication somewhere in that list, potentially between the Lexapro and that Tramal used for pain. My sincere advice is to consult with a psychiatrist. For severe insomnia, physicians typically prescribe lower doses of antipsychotics or perhaps an antidepressant like Remeron in the evening hours.
