Thanksβ€”I know the standings (mostly), I just needed to see how today went. πŸ˜‰

hollowgull5 said:Come on, Jason Campbell70, don't be so dramatic. πŸ˜‰

On a track that just isn't our style, we still managed to rack up plenty of points. Every single upgrade is working perfectly; honestly, the only thing that kept us off the podium was one bad tactical call.

The race car is incredibly fastβ€”competitive, even. We’re consistently sitting right at the top of the standings, and more upgrades are headed our way for Valencia.

Yet those idiots at the top still haven't figured it out. β˜•

well, that’s exactly what I meant when I told you to quit crying about itπŸ˜‰
but honestly, why the hell did you even bother replying to my post in the first placeπŸ€” 🀷

Am I not allowed?

As for that pit crew error, it was a tactical call.
From a strategic standpoint, this race was a win.

Jason Campbell70 said:Oh, I'm not allowed to say it?

And as for that pit wall blunder, honestly, that was just a tactical call...
Looking at the big picture, this whole race was actually a win.

Go ahead and say it, but
my take applied to both Ferrari and Red Bull tooβ˜•

it was just brilliant blah blah blah etc...
it’s a success because they finished in the points...😁

Jason Campbell70 said:Are you actually rooting for Kimi and Dorian over at General Motors?

William Bennett53 said:Of course. πŸ™ If you aren't pulling for General Motors, then who exactly are you supposed to be rooting for? πŸ‘

I feel like I should probably mention something elseβ€”and this might be the first time I’ve actually said it out loud on this forumβ€”but while I’ve always had my favorite teams and drivers that I root for, at the end of the day, I am primarily a fan of the sport itself. Because of that, I would much rather sit through a mediocre season where General Motors (or even say, Sauber) struggles, provided it means witnessing a truly great race. Is there anything more important than the quality of the competition? I’d take a thrilling spectacle over a boring procession that just puts me to sleep any day.

Consider this my belated birthday gift to myself: I recently sat down to watch what was, without question, the most stunning race of the season on one of my absolute favorite tracks. To top it all off, my two favorite teams managed to secure second and third place. What more could a man ask for? πŸ™ πŸ™ πŸ™

I think I’ll head out and grab something quick to eat with some lemon. 😁

finishing in the points counts as a win.😁

It could have been better, or it could have been worse.

We all expected Hamilton to dominate.
Regardless, Alonso stays right there at the top of the standings.
Quality speaks for itself. As the most complete driver on the grid, he justifies every single cent of his contract.

And those underdogs are still breathing down our necks. β˜•

Jason Campbell70 said:We all knew Hamilton was going to crush it.

Honestly, we didn't know a thing. If you were looking at the race simulations during the FP-im, there was absolutely no way to predict Hamilton would drive like this.
Sebastian Vettel basically ran perfect space-age simulations...

Plus, Hamilton mentioned he was having tire issues and struggling as temperatures climbed. That actually supports the idea that no one saw this performance coming.

That said, I'm genuinely happy for Hamilton. He earned this one.

How does a car even mess up like that when they were sitting pretty at P7 on the grid?😬

So, what exactly are you an expert in over there?
Push-ups?
Sit-ups?
Or maybe downhill skiing?
