At the end of the start-finish straight, the RPMs hit the redline. Then again at the end of the straight before the turn. And finally, on the stretch after the turn, well before the last chicane, theyβre hitting the limiter.
Now take a look at those speed trap numbers.
If Sebastian Vettel doesn't pull a few seconds ahead in the first two laps, he'll be trailing by about 12 miles/h at the speed trap. That's a brutal deficit to defend.
And if he gets stuck in trafficβstuck behind Lewis Hamilton or Fernando Alonsoβthen breaking through will be nearly impossible.
The reality? Sebastian Vettel using DRS on the speed trap is just as fast as Fernando Alonso without it.
Jason Campbell70, how on earth are you so sharp? π

Yes, the connection on the web seems a bit unstable... though it appears to be fine for the Canadians.π

Mark Webber with DRS is actually slower than Sergio Perez without it.
Looks like Red Bull Racing is going back to last year's setup.

You could have included me in those odds.
Yawn. β
This race is even more boring than usual, BTW.

The main man on the headline? Sebastian Vettel. β
If he doesn't pit, things are gonna get messy. He's running on old rubber. HemoΕ‘ is probably just gonna mess with Alonso. Just look at what happened to Mass.
