One thing is for sure, this is going to be a wild ride! πŸ™‚

Hopefully by race seven, we’ll actually see a seventh different winner instead of this same old loop 😁

Michael Schumacher might actually pull off a win here
He’s got a fast carβ€”plus he's clearly fired up after Monaco
I’m fully expecting him to grab pole or at least be right up there
Now, we just have to see if Lotus struggles with their tires again, or if Mercedes-Benz finally sorted out those issues of theirs
Lotus should be solid too, provided their rubber holds up

Nobody seems to be mentioning Lewis Hamilton as a potential seventh winner.

Interesting...

Interesting observation...

That’s probably because Nico Rosberg will make sure that doesn't happen.
Just kidding.😍
Mečkan won't stand a chance at the Canadian Grand Prix; with these tires, it's going to be an uphill battle.😁

I'm putting my money on either Jenson Button or Sebastian Vettel.

They had those same tires in Monaco, so they actually stood a chance there.

Tire degradation is a much bigger factor here in the USA.
Try pulling off 50 laps on the softs, or maybe even 30 on the supersofts, during the race in the USA.

Tire degradation at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway is insaneβ€”maybe even the worst on the whole Formula 1 calendar. No matter how much I root for him, I honestly doubt HemiΔ‡ can pull it off with his driving style given how these tires wear out... if I end up being wrong, hey, I’ll take the win, but after HemiΔ‡, I’m pulling for anyone from Lotus over him.

Do you think it's worth watching Formula 1 through the F1 timing App?

So, what, have they just been running the Indy race on softs and supersofts this whole time?

Exactly. And isn't that precisely why they plan to run the USA GP on the softest compounds available? πŸ™‚

Only one single zone for DRS(n)ing? Come on.

Seriously, where are the mods hiding πŸ™„

Seriously @darkmarlin16, why don't you just start your own thread 🀣?

Heading into this Grand Prix, my expectation is to see both Ferrari drivers standing on the podium.

Ferrari is bringing an upgrade to the USA Grand Prix, though I have read rumors suggesting they might also have a DDRS similar to what Mercedes-Benz uses.???

Now, I cannot state this as an absolute fact, as I haven't been able to verify this specific information with total certainty.

Word on the street is that this DDRS could grant Ferrari a gain of 0.2 to 0.3 seconds per lap. In a season where the field is so incredibly tight, such an innovation is significant; it could potentially propel the team toward greatness and allow them to rack up a massive amount of points.

Where did you see that?

Brian Campbell36 said:Word is, that DDRS could give Ferrari somewhere between 0.2 and 0.3 seconds per lap. That's significant, isn't it? Especially since the field is so tight this season. An innovation like that could send the team sky-high and help them rack up some serious points.

According to Ross Brawn, the DDRS on the W03 brings 0.2 seconds per lap. But only during qualifying.

"It appears that Ferrari is poised to introduce a significant upgrade package at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Rumors are swirling regarding modifications to the front and rear wings, as well as the exhaust system, though it is highly probable that several other minor refinements will be integrated into the car as well.
I am sincerely hoping that Ferrari utilizes the USA DDRS; I am convinced that having access to the USA DDRS would yield a minimum improvement of 0-2-0.3s per lap during qualifying, which would make them a genuine threat to Mercedes-Benz. If Ferrari manages to execute these updates successfully in the US and benefits from the DDRS, should we not expect them to be fighting tooth and nail for both pole position and the race victory at Indianapolis?

I'll just sit here and argue with myself, since even I know that's a fact. 🀣 🀣 😁

And wouldn't you agree that if the track in the USA is such a tire killer, they would have chosen harder compounds for the race (and the FP sessions and qualifying)?

Brian Campbell36 said:"Ferrari should bring a significant update to the car in the USA.
There are rumors of changes to the front and rear wings, plus the exhaust; there will likely be other minor tweaks too.
I hope Ferrari has USA DDRS ready. I believe USA DDRS could provide at least 0-2-0.3s per lap in qualifying, making them a threat to Mercedes in the USA. If Ferrari manages an update in the USA and has DDRS, I expect them to fight for pole and the win in the USA."

LOL.

Based on what Pat Fry has said, Ferrari is heading to the USA with a new front wing, a new rear wing (given the track characteristicsβ€”nothing surprising there), and some variations on the exhaust. It looks like the FP sessions will show a mixed bag regarding the F2012 aero package.

But nobody mentioned DDRS. And for DDRS, you'd need monocoque modifications at the very least. Which means crash tests. If Ferrari had been running crash tests, word would have leaked by now.
