Help! I'm getting hit with pop-up ads everywhere!

Look, every single time I click anywhere on this forum, some random ad pops up in my face, and honestly, I’m starting to lose my mind over it!
If anyone knows how to fix this, I’d really appreciate the help.

That's strange, they just stopped working 😲, and I'm still running IE 8.
