I gave birth five months ago, and everything seemed fine during my initial postpartum checkup.
However, I started feeling this uncomfortable sensation down there, so I checked myself and noticed something 😲 that definitely wasn't there before. I went back for an exam last week, and my OBGYN told me my uterus has descended. Apparently, what I saw was my cervix. She said I need to do Kegel's exercises for at least the next eight weeks to improve things and that I shouldn't be lifting anything heavy if I want to avoid making it worse. It's stressful because the discomfort is intense, and I feel like it might have even gotten worse over the last week, which really scared me. It’s difficult since I’m basically the one doing all the heavy lifting with my daughter at home.

I'm looking for experiences from women who dealt with this. Did the situation improve or...?
What did you do to help?

Since I'm not sure if I'm performing Kegel's exercises correctly, I wanted to find something more effective. I read about pelvic floor weights (four cones of different weights inserted individually to build strength) that used to be available at Target.
They don't carry them there anymore; does anyone know where else I could find some?

It’s hard to really put into words what you need to do. I actually took a pelvic floor rehab course myself—even though I didn't have a prolapse—and honestly, any new mom could benefit from that kind of training. I don't know how "bad" things are on your end, but maybe take a look at this link http://www.cyh.com/HealthTopics/Heal...=464&id=2825#4 http://www.physiotherapy-treatment.c...exercises.html
There are plenty of other good resources out there, though most of them aren't in English, so I'm not sure if they'd help you. As for those muscle contractions? During the class, we were told to imagine we had them—like we were trying to squeeze a small ball inside. It felt totally fake at first, but you get the hang of it eventually. At the end of the day, maybe just see if you can find a physical therapist in your area.

So, I finally bit the bullet and bought some ankle weights, right? But here’s the kicker—they won't stay on for even a second. They just keep sliding right off, even when I've got the lightest pair imaginable. Seriously, does anyone have any tips to stop them from falling off, or maybe just some words of encouragement to stop me from throwing them straight out the window?😢
