My request to change my username is being ignored

I wanted to change my username on this Reddit. On the "Rules" subreddit in the nickname thread, it says:

Alright, great, but what if you already registered on the site?
If you’re already registered on Reddit (which means it's probably too late to be reading this specific thread), you’re allowed to request one single username change. This has to be purely aesthetic—just a minor tweak. Admins can strip out numbers, dashes, or special characters, or make small modifications to your handle if what you want is reasonable. Please send these requests exclusively via email to admin@reddit.com, using "Username Change Request" as the subject line. Thanks.

So I sent an email to that address asking for a name change. It's been 6 days and I haven't heard a word back, nor has anything actually changed. Who am I supposed to talk to about this, and how?

I sent an email to that address asking them to change my handle, but it’s been six whole days now and I haven't heard a single word back—no reply, and my name hasn't changed at all! So, does anyone know who I should actually reach out to or what the best way is to get this sorted out?

Just ask right here. You'll want to take a quick look at the very first post.

Thanks 😉
