So, look, I’ve posted a few things here intended as jokes—you know, basically wishing the moderators would rack up a bunch of warnings next year. Any sane person would realize it was just a joke. Instead, I got banned by Terminator, and then he starts hitting me up in my DMs with threats about a permanent ban and all sorts of other nonsense. Honestly, the stuff he's saying feels like something you'd report to the police. And what about the owner of Reddit? How can they let mods act like this, taking their weird little power trips out on people in private messages and thinking they can get away with it?

I know being a woman at a sportsbook isn't exactly a popularity contest, even though I actually know sports better than 99% of the guys hanging around there. But still, nobody has the right to threaten me in my private messages, and I'm sure as hell not going to sit there and take it.

Can someone please explain what kind of forum this even is?
Are the moderators some kind of deities here who aren't allowed to be addressed with even a hint of irony or whatever?

The best part is, I was one of the few women posting at that sportsbook, just trying to be funny and lighten the mood, but all I get are warnings and threats from Terminator or Joshua Garcia.

The only two bans I’ve ever caught were at that sportsbook, and it happened every single time I tried to write anything longer than a sentence.

Are the mods allowed to just do whatever they want here, including threatening other members?

If there’s anyone in a "higher rank" listening, tell me: are threats of a permanent ban actually okay after a couple of innocent jokes? Like, if someone's just trying to make the atmosphere less "bureaucratic" and a bit more fun?

Is it really okay for a moderator to just slap you with a ban because they feel like it, or maybe just because they don't like you for some random reason?

What’s worse is that I actually gave this person a few compliments just to try and suck up to him a little bit, since I could see what he was like, but clearly that didn't work. Now I've somehow ended up on his bad side, and now he's threatening me with a permaban.

It’s probably just someone incredibly narcissistic, selfish, and full of themselves, but also super petty, even though nobody has ever been rude to him. He seems to have his own issues and just takes them out on others to stop them from talking.

If he thought threatening me with a permanent ban would shut me up and stop me from writing about him, he's dead wrong.

On another note, I honestly can’t wrap my head around the fact that there are men out there who actually resort to threatening women via private messages. Like, is there actually a lower rock bottom than this? Is there?

I’ve spent a ton of time on various forums talking to people from all over—whether it's an American, an Englishman, or an Italian—and for any of them, going after a woman with threats would be way beneath their dignity. But clearly, that’s not how things work here.

Seriously, how do guys like that even look at themselves in the mirror after doing something so pathetic?

Is it some kind of deep-seated Oedipal complex or just... something else?

The fact that some guy thinks he can slide into my DMs and threaten to beat me up is just beyond unbelievable.

Don't worry, I'll take my punishment now. I was being soooo bad! Honestly, someone needs to discipline me, and a permanent ban seems like the best way to go—especially when people just don't get my sense of humor. It's easier to just shut down whatever you don't understand, right? We need to immediately eliminate this unknown intruder on Reddit before anarchy starts spreading everywhere!!!

Heil Hitler!) 🙂

P.S. Honestly, I don't get this obsession with intolerance toward anyone who thinks differently. Everyone’s wired differently, right? But apparently around here, if you dare to say something that doesn't perfectly align with everyone else's vibe, you get slapped with an instant ban. Or a permanent one, obviously. Just for having a slightly different take than someone else, I'm already staring down a lifetime ban. Typical. It’s just blatant proof of how much intolerance one person can actually hold toward someone else. Seriously.

The funniest part of this whole mess was when I joked about playing the "predict the next betting underdog" game—you know, like everyone else does before the odds shift. Apparently, Joshua Garcia8 and that other guy took me way too seriously. They banned me on the spot, acting like I was some kind of public enemy or something. Total overkill.

And I’ve gone and annoyed them so much—not that I actually see a sports betting site as some life-or-death matter, by the way—that now I feel like I can't even post a single word without getting slapped with an immediate ban.

Look, we all know what a sportsbook actually is... It’s definitely not some legitimate career path or a reliable way to pay the rent, so there's really no reason to treat it like some life-or-death mission.

Maybe people should try spending some time on Reddit reading posts from actual American and British experts. They’d see that a bunch of folks around there crack jokes or throw in a little sarcasm without immediately getting hit with a ban, a permanent lockout, or those creepy threats in their DMs. It's not that deep.

If that isn't absolutely insane, I don't know what is. People down there get banned just for cracking a joke... seriously. People lose, so they make a few jokes just to take the edge off, but these two? They’re just sitting there waiting for the chance to slap on some warnings and hand out bans. That’s it. I've said my piece. Honestly, looking at the comments below, most people seem to agree that we don't need to take the Reddit rules quite this literally. It’s getting a little ridiculous, really—watching these two take everything so incredibly seriously. It’s turning into a complete circus.

I honestly have so much respect for people who can just switch off their souls and do their jobs without feeling a single thing... It’s actually kind of impressive. Honestly, thank God I haven't been thrown in jail yet—mostly because I didn't get to witness them being hailed as the greatest rulers of the century or their work being treated like the most vital thing on the planet.
It’s just completely devoid of any sense of humor or soul. Seriously.

Look, Hannah Roberts66, you’re really pushing it with these false claims.

The admin probably just gave you a heads-up that if you keep posting like this, you’ll get a permanent ban from the betting subreddits—but you took it as a personal attack.

Have you even bothered to read the subreddit rules?
Every single strike you've received was well-earned. We told you to stay on topic and stop trolling. It wasn't just us (the "evil" moderators) either; other users were calling you out too. But you just ignored every warning and kept trolling, breaking rules, and attacking the mods in threads where that doesn't belong.

Humor is fine—actually, it's encouraged—but trolling isn't. These daily threads are for discussing game matchups, not debating whether you or your boyfriend have better picks.

And don't try to turn this into some gender warfare thing, because it’s just not true. Even though the betting section is mostly guys, nobody is discriminating against women here since they hang out in the same spaces, and the admin isn't some guy who hates women.

Take care!

I’d love to see some actual proof for these accusations being leveled against me.
Otherwise, I might have to ask the admins for a partial ban for the FBI or even a total permanent ban myself.

The only messages I ever sent you were the automated ones triggered by issuing warnings or bans, and in one instance, I simply noted that if similar posts continued, a permanent ban would follow.
Besides, if those messages were actually "threatening," why didn't you report them? 🤷
