I'm tired of being "remembered" every time I log in!

I often log in to Reddit from my phone, and one time I accidentally tapped "yes" when it asked if I wanted the site to remember me. Now, instead of typing in my username and password, it just logs me in automatically with a single click—which I really don't want. It’s a privacy issue for me. Is there any way to change this setting or undo it?

That’s got nothing to do with Reddit—it's just your browser acting up. Since you're using a mobile browser, there isn't much more I can really do to help you troubleshoot.

And what phone, OS, and browser are we even talking about here?
Maybe try heading over to Manage space within your browser settings and just wipe out the saved passwords along with everything else listed there...

I go up to the top to sign out, and then I actually log out

but then when I try to log back in next time, I have to type in both my username and password manually
and after I enter them, it asks if I want the browser to remember my username—and I always click NO

It seems to work exactly the same way as it does on my PC

It's basically the exact same experience as being on a desktop.

My experience wasn't quite the same as using a PC. Every single time I opened Reddit, I could just tap "login" and be right in. I eventually figured it out thanks to the first reply, which pointed me toward my mobile browser settings—that's where the fix was. Honestly, I wasn't comfortable with the idea that anyone who grabbed my phone could just hop onto Reddit and act as me.

The confusion in the thread stems from how the phrase "remember me" was used in both the title and that first post.

When you log in, Reddit gives you a "Remember me" option—that’s the one that keeps you from getting kicked out automatically after a certain amount of time or when you close your tab.
Then you've got your browser, which has its own way of saving passwords, totally independent of whatever setting Reddit is using.

At the end of the day, the main thing is that you got your issue sorted out. 🙂
