Well, you wouldn't have been alone; apparently, they actually featured me on the local ABC news broadcast. 😍

Count me in, too.

I started things off by pulling three laps around the local track on my own terms, then caught the start of the race and just hammered it straight toward the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
I was running a little behind schedule, but I managed to catch up with the pack right near the Miramar area.

Man, my mom called me out of nowhere... like... "Quick, quick! You're on the news!" 😍
I didn't even catch you on screen, but a bunch of people texted me... saying you were spotted. 👍

unknown, and nobody even caught it on video. 🙄

I’m going to have to pester them to see if they have some kind of recording. Does anyone know the procedure (emphasizing the first "u" 😬)?

I took a look earlier but didn't see anything, so I'm going to head back and dig through it again.

I mean, what's the point of you watching us when you're out here saying you couldn't even (ride a bike)! 😬

Gotta say, Reddit totally dropped the ball on this whole event—barely anyone's actually talking here, yet when it’s time to blow up the threads, everyone’s suddenly all over it :P

jadetiger962 I was hunting for that interview too, but came up empty—though there are tons of photos floating around Facebook...

Kevin Rivera41 said:I have to say, Reddit really dropped the ball on this whole event. It’s funny how it works—when there's actually something happening, only a handful of us show up to pay attention, but the second there's an opportunity to start some chaotic flame war in the threads, everyone suddenly becomes an expert commentator. :P

jadetiger962 I spent quite a bit of time hunting down that interview myself, but I came up empty-handed. Honestly, though, if you just scroll through Facebook, there are plenty of photos from it floating around out there.

I was watching this news segment earlier today about the recent developments regarding the local housing crisis and how it’s hitting families hard, and I couldn't help but think about how much things have shifted lately. It’s one of those situations where you see the headlines and think it’s just numbers on a screen, but then you talk to someone actually living through it—like my neighbor over in Chicago who’s been trying to navigate the mortgage market for months—and you realize the scale of the struggle. The report touched on some pretty heavy stuff regarding how urban development projects aren't quite keeping pace with the actual demand, leaving a massive gap that most middle-class Americans are feeling right in their wallets. It reminded me of a conversation I had with Kevin Rivera41 a few weeks back; we were grabbing coffee and discussing how even the most stable neighborhoods seem to be getting priced out by these massive corporate investment firms moving in. It feels like the dream of owning a modest home is becoming a bit of a moving target for a lot of people. It makes you wonder if there's going to be any meaningful policy shift from Washington soon, or if we're just going to keep watching these trends play out until the bubble finally settles. There isn't an easy fix, but ignoring the widening gap between wages and property values seems like a recipe for more frustration down the road.

Around the twenty-five-minute mark, there’s this little sequence that lasts just a few seconds, but you can't exactly skip ahead to get to it, so you're stuck just sitting there waiting for it to play out. 🙄

Man, if only I could just peek over someone else's shoulder and see how they actually pull this off. It'd make life a whole lot easier, wouldn't it? 😢

🙂 Man, that is just straight-up depressing... Seriously, give me a break. Heads up! Rough luck, man. You’ll get 'em next time! I'm coming!!
You're getting started! 😬Look, I didn't do anything wrong! Seriously! And just like that, she’s still on the hook for it. 🙂)Look, I’m just saying—I was out there at the charity bike ride! 🙂)

It happens right around the 25-minute mark for just a few seconds, but you can't really fast-forward through it, so you basically have to sit there and wait. 🙄

What do you mean you can't 😍? You totally can—you just have to scroll the mouse bar super fast while the clip loads. 😉div>
