Hey everyone 🙂 so, a few days ago I was totally spiraling on here because I ran into this issue: after doing a really thorough inspection of my lady parts—and I mean, when I stretched everything out just right—I noticed these tiny little white or yellowish bumps on my labia (on both the inner and outer sides) that you can't even see unless you really pull everything wide... it looks like this:

(it's definitely not mine, I just found it on Google) just ignore the arrows and look at those spots on the labia...

I spent five whole days panicking, and I actually had an appointment scheduled with my OB-GYN for a few days from now, but then tonight—eureka! After some relentless googling, I finally figured out what it is. They're called Fordyce spots, which is apparently something about 80% of people have...

They can show up on the labia in women, on the penis in men, or even on the lips (mostly the upper lip)http://dermimages.med.jhmi.edu/image...s_1_060605.jpg

And honestly, if you've had any weird little bumps on your nipples since puberty, it's probably the exact same thing!

I feel kind of relieved, I guess, since I have them on my vulva, my upper lip (again, you can't see them unless you stretch the skin), and on my nipples too... what strikes me as odd is that I couldn't find a single American medical site specifically discussing this for women; almost all the info I stumbled upon came from US-based resources. So, it's not sexually transmitted, it isn't transmissible at all, really—it’s just down to genetics, I suppose.

I was wondering if any other girls have dealt with this, or if anyone has tried using specific treatments or creams for it?
I'm heading to my doctor on Monday, so maybe they'll have some better insights, and I'll be sure to share whatever I learn with you all..

Kisses!

Maybe it's because it isn't really an issue, just a completely normal occurrence...🤷
Standard American dermatological literature doesn't recommend any specific treatment—neither topical creams nor physical therapies—since it isn't considered necessary.

It's just part of your anatomy. Just like it is for most people...
