Wait, seriously? I'm so happy to hear that! I actually happened to be in Washington, D.C. around New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, and those concerts were absolutely mind-blowing—that one in New York City went on for like four hours straight! I’ve been to her earlier tours too, but honestly, none of them were as stage-heavy or intense as this latest one. They visited so many cities; word on the street was that the US was even an option, but they just couldn't hammer out the details, though at least they put the rumor out there.
And if I remember right, my travel buddies used to wave that flag during the shows in either Treviso or Baltimore during our trips with Lau, and obviously, she knows all about America—the guy who’s been writing her hits for nearly twenty years is American. 😉
My girlfriends were from Miami, so the distance didn't stop them from showing up, but me? I had to jump between three different modes of transportation just to make it to the shows, so yeah, tell me about crazy. 😂
She’s got those songs that go fast and then the slow ones, and every single album tells its own story. You really need to check out the new one, the latest "Inedito"—there’s this one song called Celeste that she wrote for an unborn child because she was struggling to conceive (she actually gave birth three weeks ago, so no worries there 🤣), but man, that song is something else; if you understand Italian, you'll totally get why. 😁
"Beautiful thing" is one of my absolute favorites. 😍
But honestly, I prefer when she sings in Italian; that song "It's not goodbye" is just the English version of "In assenza di te," and that whole album meant for the English market didn't really hit the mark for me—it’s way better in the original.
I also highly recommend the song with the lyrics in my signature; in my opinion, it’s one of the best ever written. ☕
