So, about ten days ago, I went full clumsy mode and slammed my pinky toe right into the edge of my bed frame. It didn't just sting; the toe basically shifted out of place, and the pain was absolutely brutal. The entire front of my foot turned this nasty shade of bruised purple and black. I went to get an X-ray, and apparently, nothing is actually broken, but that doesn't make it feel any better. In fact, the pain feels even sharper now, especially when I try to move it sideways or touch the outer edge of the toe. I’ve been playing it safe—resting, using an Ace bandage, and avoiding anything even remotely tight on my feet—but honestly, I have no clue what I actually damaged or how long this misery is supposed to last. Any tips on how to speed up the recovery process?

Even the area on the outside of the little toe is aching; honestly, the pain feels worse now than right after it happened. I’m just resting, wearing an ACE bandage, and staying out of tight shoes. Honestly, sounds like a fracture to me. You should probably go back and get another X-ray. That pinky bone is tiny and snaps way easier than you'd think, and those symptoms sound exactly like a break.
