Are you guys actually running taggings?

Word on the street is that moderators have started tagging users

For those out of the loop, this involves adding private notes to user profiles that are only visible to the mod team and admins

We're talking labels like "prone to trolling" or "aggressive," things of that nature

I believe this practice is incredibly risky because it opens the door for certain moderators to target defenseless users. It also creates a loophole for arbitrary bans on subforums where a user hasn't even interacted with a specific moderator yet, all based solely on a malicious tag

I am requesting an official statement from the forum leadership regarding this matter

Look, anyone with half a brain who knows how to navigate vBulletin can figure out that users can leave notes on one another. We know how to use them. But those notes are meant for technical housekeeping—stuff the software should be handling automatically but fails to do. I'm talking about logging rule violations or tracking username changes. That accounts for at least 95% of all entries. Anything else is incredibly rare.

Not happening. I’m not just handing out screenshots to every single person who asks. Your notes contain things that people manually log because the forum doesn't track them automatically. Nothing groundbreaking.
