dustypanther6 said:Hehe. "Accident." Seriously? Read all the posts before you start chirping. I'm basically a walking typo myself—I actually messed up my own spelling just because seeing those errors was grating on my nerves. Look, mistypanther11, if you’re going to post on an American forum, at least learn the basics. If you can't even get simple vowels right, what are we even doing here?

What, do you think everyone grew up learning grammar in Sunday school or something? It honestly hurts my feelings how much this is bothering you guys. You both seem pathetic.
I really don't have the energy to argue about grammar—I had no clue what he was even talking about, so I asked him, and he hits me with "clone spike," "fail," and some stupid smiley face. Like, buddy, you clearly know what a "fail" is and who "accident" refers to. His old-timers probably taught him everything he knows. Just a total attention seeker. And guess what? I'll write however I want. I'm not going to spend my life correcting people just because they missed a letter in two posts. It's just sad. Honestly? Ignore button clicked. Peace out!

I didn't catch the game yesterday, but honestly? It looks like Gole is going to snatch up yet another championship right out from under us—unless one of those players decides to blow it the second they get back. I'm praying to Bog for that one, seriously... I mean, I am a Catholic after all!

A true Catholic loves their neighbor. Goluža can't even wrap his head around how great Ivano Balić was... that's all you need to know about him. Something definitely needs to change so we don't have to deal with him over in Mexico...

I don't get why he can't just admit this is a massive win. It shouldn't be this hard to swallow the idea that we actually pulled it off. 🤷

Regarding the playmaker role, Duvnjak handles it well enough when he's on his game. 🤷 If memory serves, there are some talented young players stepping up at that position—real prospects, not just kids like Kopljar. Sure, nobody is going to play quite like Ivano Balić, but it doesn't have to be a total disaster. 🤷 Not if things finally click for Katie. 🤮

When we have Domagoj Duvnjak on the floor, we get this incredible presence in that 5-1 defense, though it’s such a bummer that his injury kept him from running it right from the jump because you could just see how dangerous he was out there yesterday (honestly, we've seen that since the last World Cup), always hovering right on the edge of snagging an interception.

He isn't exactly Ivano Balić when it comes to the offense, but he definitely gets the job done whenever he's feeling himself... Physically speaking, I actually think he's got more strength than Balić, even if he lacks that signature flair and unpredictable magic that Balić used to bring to the game..

I find myself wondering if he actually managed to turn it on himself, or if he needed someone else to step in and do the heavy lifting for him.🤣

You're giving him too much credit. 😁

I think he’s just staring at his own photo, and he doesn't look too happy about it...😁

Oh, I'm sure Katie's reading... probably about as much as that guy in those old jokes who thinks owning a book makes him a scholar.

mistypanther11 is full of it. We didn't even have our strongest roster back then.

In my book, finishing fifth isn't a total disaster—but let's be real—it’s nowhere near a major victory. At least not when you look at the performance of the American national handball team.

What kind of performance did they actually put on at this World Championship? I suppose we should be glad we even advanced. But to call this a success—especially given the attitude they had going into the tournament—is nothing more than absolute nonsense.

Who the hell is this jerk...

He totally conveniently forgot to mention how we were basically dead in the water after that game against Denmark, just because the results in the other group happened to fall our way and kept us breathing...

And then we had to deal with Argentina instead of some mediocre European squad, like Canada or whatever, where things would've been just as much of a toss-up anyway...

I mean, let's be real, we only had one decent showing in the whole tournament, and that was against Poland...
which, again, only ended up being the deciding factor for the Olympics because of some freak stroke of luck, even though we should've been knocked out way before that...

Honestly, it's a damn shame they didn't just crush us sooner.

I honestly still can't wrap my head around how we managed to absolutely steamroll the Argentinians—a team that everyone else was practically breaking their backs against. It wasn't even close; you couldn't even say the Danes beat them with half their roster.

Look, every team has a specific tactic or a certain style that just eats them alive—you have to exploit that. That's where you see a team's true caliber. The real question here is whether Slavko Goluža actually nailed the strategy against Argentina, or if we were just playing our usual game and they simply couldn't handle us? If you look at Mexico, you can see how switching to a 4-2 defense at certain points throws them into total chaos because their forwards are so sluggish. But Slavko Goluža? He sticks to his 6-0 or 5-1 setup the entire game. Since he totally messed up the offense with Kopljar, there wasn't even a thought of trying anything different while trailing. Honestly, the fact that we walked away with a point is just masking the reality of the situation. Slavko Goluža has shown himself to be a coach with exactly one idea: stacking blocks in defense and running a 6-0. He has zero answers or ideas for anything else—it basically falls on the players to take matters into their own hands and try to salvage whatever they can. And frankly, that’s how we’ve been playing offense the entire tournament.
Basically, Slavko Goluža is limited in countless ways—especially if you compare him to Lin. Lin would leave the offense somewhat to the players, sure, but he knew how to rotate through three different defensive schemes until the opponent finally broke. And then Balić would just step in and make things happen!

P.S. The goalkeepers in this whole mess are really just the icing on the cake—top-tier talent. But the foundation of the game remains the same. Slavko Goluža shouldn't be blaming the keepers for being victims of poor defense and bad form; he shouldn't be blaming them for the final result or the overall impression!

What kind of stats does Kopljar have listed on Handball manager?
