Can't delete my own posts!

Does anyone have a clue why I can't delete my own posts anymore? Like, just a few days ago it was totally fine—I could wipe stuff out whenever—but tonight? Nothing. Just stuck with whatever I wrote.

You can delete your posts for as long as you're able to edit them (if I recall correctly). After that, you can ask the moderator of that specific subforum to wipe them. But if there’s already a thread building on top of your comments, I doubt they'll agree to it.

Look, I get it—I know if someone actually replies to my thread, I'm stuck with whatever nonsense I wrote because I can't delete it anymore. But since nobody’s jumped in yet, I figured I’d ask. Just curious, though... can a mod actually flip a switch and stop a user from deleting their own posts?

The Moderator doesn't actually have the power to manually grant or deny permissions to individual users. It's all automated. You can delete a post for a short window, but once that passes, you're out of luck. Same goes for editing. Also, on certain subforums, users are blocked from deleting posts entirely (like in the ban corner).

Man, thanks for clearing that up for me. So you're saying the mods aren't even lifting a finger here—it’s all just automated junk running in the background.
