Shipping something internationally: what do I need to know?

I was wondering if it's actually okay to send something small—specifically a little wooden keychain—in a standard envelope with a letter headed to Indonesia? I'm hoping to do this without running into any unexpected issues at the post office.

The thing is, once I tuck it inside, the envelope looks a little bit puffy, even though it still fits perfectly fine. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
