Breaking Benjamin

Hey everyone.
What are your thoughts on Breaking Benjamin? For me, they’re practically a religion. I absolutely LOVE them. The problem is, almost none of my friends have ever heard of them; they mostly just listen to Metallica and those massive mainstream bands. I’m the only alternative kid in my circle, and this style of music really hits home for me. It's heavy and hardcore, yet the lyrics and the raw emotion in Benjamin's voice can actually move me to tears sometimes.
Is there anyone else on this forum who knows them and listens to their stuff?
And is there anyone I can swap info with regarding the band?

Man, they are seriously underrated... I honestly don't get how nobody jumped on their stuff sooner...

That "Diary of Jane" track from Step Up... I feel like that's how most people first discovered them, but man, they actually have so much more good material beyond that one hit.

As for Dear Agony, it's a pretty solid listen for me—definitely some cool tracks in there.

Alright, I’ve been scouring this forum to see if anyone else started this thread... Since nobody else seems willing to step up, I guess I will! ☕
I currently have Phobia and WE are not Alone, plus I've picked up quite a few tracks from Dear Agony, though I'm still hunting for Saturate... Does anyone know if there's a place to buy t-shirt merchandise for them in Miami or Washington, D.C.?
Also, does Benjamin ever plan on overcoming his phobia and finally dragging himself over to America?

Every time I listen to the outro, I feel a surge of genuine dread; Ben almost gave me a real phobia of flying xD

I just finished downloading their entire discography—this band is incredible, their songs are absolutely killer

I've got such an extensive collection of their tracks; honestly, this band is just everything to me. Their music is absolutely top-tier. 🙂

I'm with you on that. For me, they, Three Days Grace, and Avenged Sevenfold are hands down the best bands out there right now.🙏

I have plenty of their tracks. This band is top-tier. The music is far too good. 🙂

The contagion really should have hit during the era of their rise and Diary of Jane xD

Only bad news to share, though—I saw on YouTube that Benjamin is dealing with some serious health issues. Apparently, he's fighting lung cancer that keeps coming back, which is why he had to cancel his last show. 😢
It’s frustrating that hardly anyone knows about them. 🤷

I am totally obsessed with them, honestly... I think I stumbled onto Diary of Jane on YouTube back in like 2007 by total accident, and ever since then they've been one of my absolute favorite bands, and man, this new Phobia album is just spectacular, they are seriously the best!!

Phobia isn't even a new album xD it's ancient history at this point

Honestly, they’re just so good to me—whenever I try to pick out a favorite track, I get totally stuck. There really isn't one "best" song because they honestly nail it every single time.
I'll tell myself, okay, let's go with Give me a Sign—but then I immediately start thinking about Anthem of the Angels or What Lies Beneath... and before I know it, I'm remembering how killer Next to Nothing is. It's just a constant loop. xD

ugh, such a bummer! <3<3 I feel the exact same way about them 🙏🙏🙏 plus none of my friends really listen to anything alternative either, so I don't have many people to talk to about bands like that 🤷 honestly though, I'm genuinely surprised they aren't more famous??? 😲 dance with the devil is an absolute masterpiece 😍
