I had a really rough heart attack back in my sixth month. The doctors suggested I go check out some treatment at Palm Springs, but I’m honestly on the fence about whether it's worth it. 😢
What I really want to know is—does it actually work? After my infarct, I haven't changed a single thing about my life. My mindset, my diet, my smoking habit... nothing. I don't even go out anymore, though I used to. Over the last four years, I've put on 65 pounds, dealt with breast cancer, and honestly, I’m pretty skeptical that a spa retreat is going to make a massive difference. Plus, I have this constant anxiety about falling asleep because I'm terrified of having another heart attack. My head is just a mess right now; I haven't figured out what actually matters in life, so even the tiny things throw me off.
There’s so much I probably should change, but I’m 51 and making a total life pivot feels so heavy. I love my cigarettes, I love my coffee, and I absolutely hate walking. I am definitely not a gym person.
If anyone here has dealt with a heart attack or has experience with places like Palm Springs, please let me know. I'd appreciate any kind of insight. 🙂
