So, I’m sitting here nursing this coffee, feeling totally wiped out. It feels like it takes me five minutes just to finish a single sip, and I end up nodding off between gulps. Toward the bottom of the mug, I thought I felt some weird little lump, but turns out it was just a fly!

I wouldn't say I'm exactly a hypochondriac or anything, but do you think I could actually catch something from that?

I’m not usually a massive hypochondriac, but can I actually catch some weird illness from this?

I once swallowed the last gulp of my coffee and felt something weird in my mouth. I spat it out and realized it was just a huge clump of curly hair.😠

Don't sweat the fly thing. You'll be fine.

I went through something remarkably similar quite a few years back—though, in my case, it was actually a carton of milk that caused all the drama! Honestly, there is absolutely no reason to fret about this.

It won't matter to you. The heat alone should have wiped out any potential pathogens.

Who actually says the fly boiled itself in the coffee? For all we know, it just fell into some lukewarm Joe and drowned.

😁

The odds of anything sinister happening here are slim to none. Nobody ate it.

And if it had eaten her, would that have made it malicious?

It would be way more intense. Try spraying a fly with some bug spray—but don't use enough to actually kill it. Just trap it under a glass and watch what happens when it starts losing its mind and buzzing frantically. Honestly? It’s a pretty disgusting sight to witness.

I’m not entirely sure I see how those two points connect.🤔

Is it actually true that we swallow a few flies, gnats, or spiders in our sleep without any issues? I’ve read conflicting reports all over the internet—some say it happens, others swear it’s a myth—so now I’m just stuck in limbo.
Flies hang out in nasty places—dead animals, sewage, whatever—so it makes sense that they carry microbes.
On the flip side, they clean themselves. Do they manage to wash off the germs too? Then there's the matter of digestion and the immune system.

Worst case scenario?

Go for a bike ride or hit the trail at dusk—you’ll get eaten alive by mosquitoes and gnats, so you won't even need to bother with dinner.
And honestly, nothing will happen to stop the swarm; I've tried it enough times to know.

"But what about the quality of the water used to brew the coffee?" 😁
If we truly understood the sheer volume of pesticides applied during coffee cultivation... even a housefly might be a healthier choice.😍

So, I once accidentally ended up with some Zohar in my mouth. Is there any chance I'm gonna catch something?

Dyslexia? Seriously... what now?☕

So I was chatting with this guy once, right? Mid-sentence, I see this fly heading straight for his mouth like it’s got a GPS lock on him. And man, this dude is a total jerk—just constantly trashing people left and right. I try to tell him he needs to chill out, but he just keeps going. It was like watching a slow-motion movie; the fly flies right into his throat, and he doesn't even flinch. He just shuts his mouth and swallows. Then he looks at me like, "What was that about?" 😁

Anyway, he's still kicking. His back's acting up a bit, but I'm pretty sure it wasn't because of the fly.

🤣 I suspect it might actually be dysgraphia, 🤣🤣

It won't be an issue; at least it wasn't for me when I discovered a fly at the bottom of my Coke bottle. Naturally, this was only after I had finished the drink.

Think of it this way: you take a fly, and suddenly you've got a whole swarm of larvae on your hands. That’s why you use a glass to trap them—to stop them from buzzing all over the room and spreading those larvae everywhere.
We're talking about the exact same larvae that a fly drops when it lands on a steak. The same ones responsible for making people sick.

Is it actually true that we swallow a few flies, gnats, or spiders in our sleep without any issues? I've seen conflicting stuff online, so now I'm just stuck in limbo.

Worst case scenario?

I heard that was just an urban legend picked up by some American news outlet. That's about all I know.

And you won't feel a thing. Tested and proven multiple times.

Gnats are fine. But those big houseflies—the black ones and especially the green ones? Those are dangerous. They're basically walking disease vectors.

Look, I get it, but honestly, that old $3.25 bill you used to pay for your coffee might actually be even worse...

I once watched a coworker swallow a centipede straight out of her hot cocoa 😁 I honestly thought the thing was gonna tear through the servers and absolutely wreck the entire Starbucks 🤣 My best guess? It’s not even bad for you—it actually gives some people superhuman strength ☕

Relax, man, you're fine. Nothing's gonna happen to you. Honestly, just be glad the waiter didn't try to charge you for a steak dinner along with that coffee.😁
