So, when I'm dropping a link into a post, how do I actually change the display name? Like, instead of that massive, ugly URL stretching across the screen, can I just make it say something simple like "link_1"?

Thanks.

I'll pass on commenting right now (honestly, I haven't slept in over 24 hours), so just take some time to look over this thread.

You're welcome. 🙂

You're welcome. 🙂

This thread used to be such a great, easy-to-navigate resource for getting help.

It seems like it’s coming from Desiree.

Where on earth did she disappear to?

More or less, this was the place where I could actually find the answers I was looking for.

And to everyone else, especially those just joining us on the forum...

So, what's the plan? Are we going to start opening a dedicated thread for every single topic we want to dive into?

where on earth did it go?

Which thread are you talking about? This one?

It’s still around, it just isn't the featured thread anymore. It's too messy. You have to scroll through endless pages just to find a single answer (if you even find one).

That's why we have this main thread now:
http://www.reddit.com/r/help/showthread.php?t=544411
It's actually organized. The first post lists all the common issues along with their fixes and includes links. The old thread is also linked right at the bottom of that first post.

Kudos on all the hard work put into organizing this—it’s looking much better. I guess we just have to get used to how this site functions.

Honestly, I found the "Everything Under the Sun" section more than enough. Within just the first few pages, it covered pretty much everything I was looking for.
And it’s good that she’s still here, actually. I honestly thought her profile had been wiped from the system when I didn't see her name sitting right there at the top of the list.
