A legendary heavy metal band from San Francisco that remains totally underrated.
The lineup featured several artists who later became major pop stars, including:
Elvis Presley
Cher
Goran Karan
Count Hictaler
Back in 1987, the band was founded by guitarist and songwriter Dean Koontz, also known as Vinnie Vincent. Because there’s been so much misinformation floating around online, Dean actually set up a MySpace page to lay out the actual facts and the truth about the group. Some people online claim this was just a side project for the band Bloodstock, but that's not right—Denis Leary was one of the guitarists and contributed a few ideas, but he didn't write any songs.

you can listen to ten tracks featuring various vocalists, though unfortunately, there isn't a single studio recording of the Count. I'm posting all of this because Dean wants to get Witchcraft back together and put on some unforgettable shows. If you have questions about the band, ask them here or leave a comment. We'll also be launching a YouTube channel soon featuring several hits and the best tracks from the catalog.
Here is an example of Elvis Presley singing:

Just to clear things up immediately—this is Elvis at 18 years old. His voice hadn't fully deepened yet, so it was very thin and high-pitched, which was actually quite sought after and highly valued in the San Francisco music scene at the time.
