Hey, I want to get your take on this... what kind of basic supplies should everyone actually keep stocked at home? We’re constantly getting bombarded from every single angle with ads for everything—omega pills for blood vessels, memory boosters, sleep aids, you name it. It's ridiculous. I want to know what you guys think is absolutely essential to have on hand, especially since life moves so fast these days and stress is everywhere.
Personally, I think everyone needs to be taking vitamins and minerals in pill form. Let's be real: nobody is eating perfectly balanced, farm-fresh fruits and veggies every single day..😉

Honestly, my medicine cabinet is always stocked with the essentials: Tylenol, DayQuil, Advil, and Voltaren. I’ll occasionally pick up some effervescent supplements from CVS, and that pretty much covers it. 😬
Oh, and I keep various anti-inflammatory creams and similar ointments on hand too. 😬

Hmm... Let's see. I've got some cough syrup, maybe some fever reducer, Voltaren, Advil, some effervescent stuff... I think that covers it. 🤔

I suppose I have quite a collection😁, but if I had to pick the essentials:

Voltaren - for pain
Advil - for when my back really starts acting up
Bentyl and Buscopan - for cramps, specifically menstrual ones
Claritin - paracetamol, helps with fever and colds
Lotrimin and Monistat - antifungal, mostly for gynecological stuff (Candida)
Betrion - antibiotic ointment, a must-have for inflamed boils or skin infections
Nystatin - antifungal, useful for things like athlete's foot after wearing sneakers too long
Flagyl - for allergies, though it makes me drowsy
Tobramycin - antibiotic eye drops and ointment (though you usually need a prescription for this 😬)
DayQuil - extremely good at masking cold symptoms, say if you have to attend a party or an important event while feeling totally wiped out😁
Neoangin - for sore throats
Aspirin plus C - for when a cold hits
Cepacol - oral rinse
Heparin - for vein issues
Silver Sulfadiazine - for burns, works wonders if you get fried at the beach
Hydrocortisone - for various itchy, red, or flaky patches on the skin or scalp😁, my partner uses it for psoriasis (watch out—it's a corticosteroid)
Biofreeze - cools down injuries or muscle strains
elastic bandage
Band-Aid products of all kinds, especially wound dressings and bandages
Betadine (povidone-iodine)
alcohol
compresses, sterile needles
Aquaphor - cream

As for vitamins, I’ve mostly taken the effervescent ones from CVS, occasionally some Twinlab, but those are pretty potent; you can actually see the impact on your liver in blood work, so maybe be careful with them😉
Oils - Nature Made, calendula and St. John's Wort - for burns, wounds, scrapes...

Honestly, I’ve got the whole kit, but somehow there’s always one thing missing...

I mean, my stash has everything from Percocet 500 mg and that Percocet teen 300 mg stuff, to Neofen and Neofen Forte, Advil 400 mg, Aspirin plus C, Bentyl, Kafetin, and Voltaren for those post-workout aches. Then there's Monistat drops and cream, Aquaphor, Ventolin for my asthma, and Tobramycin drops and ointment—since I’m constantly dealing with styes and other annoying nonsense. Plus Strepsils, a huge pile of bandages because I’m basically a walking disaster area when it comes to accidental cuts, some disinfectant, sterile needles for blisters, compresses, Betadine, an elastic bandage, magnesium and zinc supplements, and some Guarana...

God, I really am a hypochondriac... but I guess I just like being ready for anything.😁

Shouldn't this be its own dedicated health thread? 🤔

Look, I’m definitely no medical expert—I barely passed high school biology! 😁
But I do keep a little "emergency kit" going—you know, just in case life happens!
I usually have some Band-Aids, gauze, medical tape (or even just some sturdy Scotch tape for those stubborn bandages!), sterile needles, an antibiotic ointment like Neosporin, and then my go-to pain relief combo: Percocet and Aspirin. Oh, and I always keep some Pedialyte on hand for hydration, some activated charcoal tablets, and plenty of Aquaphor or whatever drugstore healing ointment I can find. Plus, I stock up on Vitamin B and C supplements, and some DayQuil for when the seasonal sniffles hit. And yeah, don't forget hydrogen peroxide for cleaning scrapes and some cotton balls... 😁 And of course, there’s always honey and some homemade fruit brandy for the soul!
I've also got a whole collection of teas—sage for gargling when my throat feels scratchy, and lemon balm for those "not-so-fun" PMS days.
For the kids, I keep some Medline vitamin syrup and some liquid Percocet ready to go.

Jesus, how much stuff do you guys actually have on hand? 😬 I mean, honestly, I always have at least two boxes of Band-Aids lying around—my old lady is constantly cutting herself or whatever... I basically have an entire first aid kit just sitting there. 🤔 And as for sterile needles, I could probably sell them all if I wanted to, since my sister is always bringing more home from the clinic. 🤣 I’m not counting whiskey as part of the stash, though—that stuff isn't even good for me. 😁

Angela Morales, is this a home pharmacy or just that CVS down the street? 🤣
Honestly, there’s a certain comfort in being prepared, but I eventually gave up on hoarding everything because I always end up tossing half the stash once the expiration dates hit. At the end of the day, all I really care about having on hand is some Voltaren, Ketorolac, and maybe some Pepcid 🙏
when things go sideways.

Dammit, I even forgot I had some Pepsi in the fridge. 🤣 Honestly, my brain is such a sieve when it comes to what's sitting in my own house—so don't go getting all offended if I suddenly chime in later saying, "Oh wait, I actually have that too" once you guys have already moved on. 😂
