I have to say, I’m actually pleasantly surprised—maybe because my expectations were pretty much non-existent to begin with.

That scene with the water is definitely a highlight for me.😍

I can’t quite recall all the specifics, and even after sitting through the whole movie, I'm still a little fuzzy on who Marius actually is and how he managed to take out Michael... I mean, why did they just write him off as a character like that? Regardless, it isn't a bad flick; I always find that Underworld is pretty good entertainment 🙂

Worst part so far. Just action, action, and more action. The plot is non-existent—everyone just seems to be going through the motions like, "let's just get this over with."

Honestly, I thought the fourth one was the absolute bottom of the barrel. This one? A solid 5/10 for me. I really think the Underworld franchise would work way better if they just turned it into a TV series—there’s just too much going on in such a short runtime. You’ve got all these messy character relationships—who hates who, why they're doing what they're doing—and then all that techno-babble about how everything works, plus the whole "corpse" thing... and now they've gone and thrown magic into the mix? Like, seriously? One minute Selene is drowning, then those white vampires toss her into a puddle and suddenly she's even more godlike than before. It's just way too many details crammed into way too little time.

I’ve always had a soft spot for this series because the premise is just so engaging, though I have to admit, after sitting through this latest installment, I found myself thinking that Kate Beckinsale has aged to the point where she simply doesn't hold that same spark for me anymore.

Just shut everything down, pull the plug on the internet, and call it a day; there's really no point in anything else at this stage.

Actually, Kate has—and she's had some pretty solid ones, too. What really trips me out about those two franchises is how every sequel somehow costs less than the last one, without actually looking cheap in terms of VFX or sets, yet they still pull in nearly double the cash. Even if the sequels themselves are total garbage, you have to admit... it’s a pretty brilliant way to run a business.

Man, look at those effects and sets 😁 😁 😁 Honestly, they could’ve just hit up a local Hot Topic, grab some emo gear for the vampires, then scavenged some rags off the street for the Lycans and called it a day—budget solved. Everything else is just pitch black (which, honestly, is totally my vibe div>

For Underworld, they probably spent two hours, a single pack of cigarettes, and a joint. That last part is such a joke, it's actually kind of tragic. But hey, I watched it just for the sake of it. :ztubo:

Fair enough, I’m right there with you. A few days ago, I decided to marathon all the Underworld movies and the Resident Evil series. Honestly, they actually feel worse when you binge them back-to-back.

RE1 was solid. Underworld 1 was alright. Everything after that was pretty much a disaster. At some point, I just gave up on Resident Evil entirely; I think RE3 was the last one I actually sat through.

Even though they're already gearing up for a new TV series and a sixth installment in the franchise, Scarlett Johansson has officially confirmed that she won't be returning for the next movie. 👎
