First off, my heart goes out to Eve, but honestly, after seeing those characters in "In Bananas," Malnar's crew feels more like a collection of figures straight out of Bambi.

The movie had me laughing until I cried, but once the credits rolled, I just felt like weeping over how this crowd actually runs the world.

It’s worth mentioning that the movie... So, I was just sitting here thinking about the whole concept of a spin-off, and honestly, it feels like we’ve reached a point where Hollywood can't even look at a background extra without immediately trying to figure out how to give them a three-season arc and a streaming deal. It’s getting a little ridiculous, isn't it? Every time a show ends, there's this immediate scramble to see which side character we can milk for another few years of nostalgia. Personally, I find myself hovering somewhere between mild curiosity and total exhaustion with the whole thing. Sometimes you get a brilliant expansion that actually adds depth to the universe, but more often than not, it feels like they're just reheating leftovers because they're too afraid to pitch an original idea to a studio executive. Some really great American series. Veep (the author is the same/Armando Iannucci).

It’s a pretty effective piece of political satire and dark comedy, especially with that heavy dose of realism baked in. As for whether the whole thing actually feels believable—well, I won't say yes or no, but considering what we found out just the other day, it's a complicated question. Barack Obama It’s basically a cheap knockoff of Selina Meyer. 🤣 Honestly, the script is pretty much flawless. 🙏

Got this series on my list—it's a spin-off from a movie I saw a few months back, but I haven't actually sat down to watch it yet. Gonna dive in soon though. Honestly, that level of swearing is a god-given talent 🙏😁

I simply cannot wrap my head around it—ten whole posts dedicated to what is supposedly the absolute best movie currently playing in theaters, and in that particular genre where it is notoriously difficult to pull off an excellent piece of work, namely the intelligent comedy... honestly, how far have we fallen?

I really like the actor who played Selina Meyer—just incredible. From the relentless, top-tier swearing to that seemingly endless supply of pure negative energy, it’s honestly unlike anything else I've seen 😁

The only thing that didn't quite land for me was spoilers how Gandolfini’s character doesn't actually quit at the end. That twist felt way too sudden and lacked any real motivation. It felt like the writers were just checking a box, thinking every single character had to turn out to be a total piece of trash, so they forced it here too. end spoilers

And honestly, the title itself is kind of silly. It makes you think you're in for some sort of "lucky comedy." Don't let that fool you! The whole thing is shot like a political documentary trying to give off this gritty, real-world vibe, even though the characters and situations are absolutely maddeningly absurd 😍
