Anyone know any other ways to push back my period besides just popping pills?

Is it the constant nerves, the stress, or just those sudden shocks to the system?

If you don't mind me asking, why would you want to push it back?
It's going to happen eventually anyway; it's not like it's gone for good.
Got some big sports competition or something coming up?

There is no such thing as doing this "naturally." You only trigger a period by taking progesterone pills—like Dabrador or Premarin. As long as you are on them, you won't see anything. Once you stop, the sudden drop in progesterone levels forces the cycle to start within a few days.

Got some big game or a marathon coming up or something?

Heading out on a trip soon, so yeah :/

Aha. And regarding those Dabrador pills, I definitely need a prescription from a doctor first, right?

Right. And regarding those Dabrador tablets, I'll definitely need a prescription from my doctor, won't I?

True, though you might get lucky at some pharmacies without one; it really just depends on the pharmacist's discretion.
Just mention that you're already taking it. ☕

Right, and regarding those Dabrador tablets—I definitely need to see a doctor to get a prescription first, don't I?

Seriously, don't mess around with your hormones. For the love of God, don't go self-prescribing stuff. Especially not for something as minor as travel.
It should only be done if it’s absolutely necessary and ordered by a doctor you actually trust—not just some random GP who hands out prescriptions without even checking your bloodwork first.

Are you delaying your period just because of a trip 😕? Where are you headed, Pluto, FFS? Look, my cycle has always decided to show up at the absolute worst times and completely wrecked my plans, but it never once crossed my mind to proactively mess with my hormones just for some little whim. You don't touch that stuff without a legitimate reason—and definitely not without a doctor's supervision.

Quick question about birth control pills—how long can you actually push back your period using them??

Also... has anyone ever tried to jumpstart their cycle, like making it show up a few days early??

Yeah—last summer, a close friend of mine managed to shift her cycle forward (she was visiting her boyfriend since they hadn't seen each other in ages), though obviously, she used birth control pills to do it. I haven't the slightest clue how she timed everything perfectly, but I do know she cleared it with her doctor first.

Honestly, I’m actually looking forward to my upcoming trip, and if I could just find a way to make my deadline slip back by at least five days, I wouldn't hesitate for a second...

🤷👎
