Hey everyone, sorry for starting a whole new thread here 😳. I wasn't quite sure where this request would fit best, so I figured I’d just put it out there. Honestly, feel free to toss this thread straight into the trash once you've had a chance to read it 😬.

I have a quick favor to ask 😳. Would it be possible to split the Dental Questions Megathread into a few different sub-topics based on specific categories πŸ™‚? Something like "Restorative Work," "Endodontics," "Cosmetic Dentistry," "Prosthodontics," "Oral Surgery," and so on
. The problem is that the current thread is way too broad. You might see three posts about dental crowns, and then immediately jump into three more about extractions. Readers end up having to sift through a ton of stuff they couldn't care less about just to find the specific info they actually came for
.
I'm sure there's a reason why everything related to teeth is lumped together in one spot, but please, just consider my reasoning 😬.

Anyway, that's my two cents πŸ™‚.
Sorry again for being a nuisance
.
Thanks for considering it, whether you decide to go with it or not 😬.

Everything has its pros and cons. I’ll grant you that this makes navigating the forum a bit more of a headache for everyone here, but on the flip side, it definitely cuts down on the clutter and chaos of endless PDF files. That said, we already have specific threads dedicated to things like wisdom teeth extraction and orthodontics, so I don't see why we couldn't just spin up another one for something like prosthodontics. Personally, I think general dental repairs should stay right here in this main thread. Most surgical stuff usually boils down to wisdom teeth anyway, so there isn't much need for a separate category there either. As far as I'm concerned, let's move prosthetics to its own topic. Besides, you've got three or four dentists active on the "General Dental Questions" thread at any given time; you don't even really need to go hunting through old posts. Just drop your question and someone will get back to you.

Sorry for the late reply. Things have been pretty hectic on my end lately... πŸ‘‹

Thanks πŸ˜‰.
I finally cleared up my confusion 😬. I spent some time scrolling through this thread and realized we just end up circling the same drain with the same questions over and over. Honestly, there's no shame in me asking something that’s already been covered 😳. So, I asked, got my answer, and now I'm good to go 😬.
