Complaint regarding Josephine's moderation in the Cars subforum

Since I can't reply in the banned section, I'll just post this here:

The moderation on the car subforum isn't exactly fair—they keep flagging my responses to people being jerks, while those same people seem to get a free pass. Can I get an admin to weigh in on this?

I’m not even questioning my own warnings. It’s the double standards and the selective enforcement that I’m calling out...

Maybe I'm wrong, but I definitely see the warnings, for example:

I try to play by the rules, but when someone starts insulting people, I click the report button to flag the inappropriate post. I don't reply to them, and then nothing happens for three days. Once I see there's been zero reaction, I finally respond to the insult, and suddenly—bam—my post gets flagged while their original post stays up. It's weird, especially since I know some people have huge point counts because they're constantly getting banned, so it's pretty strange that I'm getting hit while their posts aren't...

Also, the last thing that cost me 30 points was this post from today. I have no idea how this violates the subforum rules, considering the thread title is:

So, we move on—Medtronic, the company supplying the Motorola Solutions cameras, is working pretty closely with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and AAA...

Another interesting thing—those cameras have Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR), which should let the police track every vehicle passing through and alert patrols if they spot a stolen or unregistered car. But apparently, they still haven't enabled that feature (even though cameras in places like Los Angeles have had it for years), so I guess the cameras are just there for speed enforcement—basically just a way to shake people down...

And finally, just to show that video surveillance is indeed a market, yes, a market:

If you think this is political, then be a real moderator and actually moderate the post by deleting whatever you think is political... While this whole bidding war for the cameras definitely ties into the topic, especially since Medtronic, which is supplying the Motorola Solutions cameras, works so closely with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and AAA.

Just one last thing—you're claiming that, for example, Medtronic buying Motorola Solutions cameras and working closely with the NHTSA and AAA has nothing to do with the topic—even though AT&T is getting traffic surveillance cameras?

If you want to write about this or if you actually have inside info, go talk to the political mods and ask them where you should even post this. Because your post isn't about installing traffic cameras; it's about government procurement, corruption, and shady deals... things that don't belong on an automotive forum.

Regarding bans, some users can rack up enough points that even three or four warnings won't touch them, while someone else with a prior history could be banned by a single minor infraction.

I might miss some posts that stay on the thread when they shouldn't, which is why the report button exists.

It’s pretty interesting how they’re mixing in partial bans now—kind of feels like how they kicked Bar and a few others off this forum, I guess. I can already see another warning or a ban coming for some technicality or whatever else...

Like I’ve said more than a few times already—I asked for an admin to step in here—but nobody's responding. Honestly, I think I know exactly how this is going to play out anyway, so feel free to just lock the thread...

I have to admit, I don't recall what you sent me in that DM, but fine.

Bar isn't being kicked out. He just did something incredibly reckless and completely inappropriate for this board—something that had absolutely nothing to do with our threads or this community. He effectively forfeited his own right to be here; it wasn't a decision made by me or any other moderator. Not that it has anything to do with you, but since you brought it up...

Every single ban you’ve received was earned, just like everyone else's. Neither I nor any other moderator can just pull infractions out of thin air. I know you might not believe me, but I strive to be as fair as possible.
Of course, I realize I'll never be good enough to please everyone—that's an impossible standard—but I do my best.

Just try following the rules and there won't be any bans. It's pretty straightforward.
