We saw something similar back in 1989 between the Netherlands and Uruguay, though the Dutch couldn't quite make the timing work. 🕺 Anyway, this is basically a matchup between the current champions of Europe and the champions of South America. They’ve already agreed to hold two more matches in 2024 and 2028, and there are even talks about doing the same for the women's national teams. 👍

I think you're really overstating it here. That Italian defense was way too solid during the Euro for them to just give up three goals like that.

Italy played great during the Euro and earned that win. Let's not try to rewrite history just because they messed up their WC qualifying.

Yeah, special Belgium is basically just a team we remember mainly because they play in the ep and the WC.

I guess Lionel Messi finally got his chance to rack up those stats with UEFA, just like Cristiano Ronaldo has been doing for years. Scoring 5 goals against Estonia in a single match is huge—even Cristiano never quite managed that.
